Jaehong Ahn "I'm proud of the beginning of the retirement meme"
On the 13th, a production presentation for the Netflix series 'Dakgangjeong' was held at the Lotte Cinema Konkuk University entrance in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. Actors Ryu Seung-ryong, Ahn Jae-hong, Kim Yu-jung and director Lee Byung-hun attended the event.
'Dakganjeong' is a new world comic mystery chase drama about father Seon-man (Ryu Seung-ryong), who is trying to bring back his daughter Min-ah (Kim Yoo-jung), who was turned into chicken gangjeong after entering a mysterious machine, and Baekjoong (Ahn Jae-hong), who has a crush on her. It is based on the webtoon of the same name by author Park Ji-dok, which was given the title of 'ultimately sick webtoon'. Director Lee Byung-hun, who directed the movie 'Extreme Job' and the drama 'Melodrama', took the lead in the adaptation.
Ahn Jae-hong plays Go Go-joong, an intern who has a crush on Min-ah. Ahn Jae-hong, who even sparked rumors of retirement due to his passionate performances in 'Mask Girl' and 'LTLS'. He said, "I am proud of being the originator of the retirement meme." He added, "As soon as I saw the script and webtoon for 'Dakgangjeong', I felt that I had to do it. I got the impression that their appearances were very similar. On the outside, they only had a parted parting, but the similarity was noticeable. “I could feel it,” he said.
Director Lee Byung-hun also said, "It was burdensome to give the script because the synchronization rate was so high. He's becoming more and more handsome these days, so I thought it would be rude. But when I saw 'Mask Girl' Joo Oh-nam appear, I stopped feeling sorry because I thought we were nothing."
‘Dak Gangjeong’ will be released on Netflix on March 15th.
