Kim Do-hoon was a gifted student at science high school entrance exam

Actor Kim Do-hoon revealed about his smart school days.

MBC's 'Radio Star', which aired on the 12th, featured a special feature called 'Acting Mania' starring Jang Hyuk, Kim Min-jae, Ha Do-kwon, and Kim Do-hoon.

On this day, Kim Do-hoon, a 9-year-old rookie actor who gained popularity for his role as Kang-hoon in Disney+'s 'Moving', appeared for the first time in 'Las'. Kim Do-hoon expressed his entertainment ambitions from the beginning, saying that he had high expectations for 'Las'. He said he dreams of becoming a 'post-Jang Hyuk' and revealed his kicking skills as a blue belt in Taekwondo, while also trying to imitate Jang Hyuk and G-Dragon's vocal cords. Kim Gura praised, “I can go somewhere and have a good time for 5 minutes.”

Kim Do-hoon also revealed the story behind joining 'Moving', the episode where he realized his popularity with 'Moving', and the story of starting his entertainment career with 'Hong Seok-cheon's Jewel'. Above all, it attracted attention as it was revealed that Kim Do-hoon was a 'real-life model student' who studied with the goal of entering a science high school before dreaming of becoming an actor.

Kim Do-hoon said, "When I was young, I wasn't bad at studying. I went to elementary, middle, and high school in Yongin, and I liked math and science. There was a gifted class in school, and I passed the exam and got into it. From then on, I studied hard."

He also passed the exam for the gifted applied physics class taught by college students. Kim Do-hoon said, "All my friends who passed the exam there were aiming to go to a science high school. As I was studying, I had to go to an academy to take the science high school entrance exam."

However, Kim Do-hoon said that due to academic stress, he wanted to try something else. He confessed, "Ever since I was young, I liked watching movies with my father, and even though I didn't know the 'Yeon' word for acting, I told my parents about it. The atmosphere at home was not good at that time."

He continued, “My father said that if I got accepted to Kaywon Arts High School, he would send me there. “There were only two weeks left before the entrance exam, and I went to an acting academy to learn and passed,” he said, adding that he entered the school at the top of his class. At the same time, he humbly said, “I got the top score based on my grades because my academic performance was good.”
