Drama ‘Investigation Team Leader 1958’ Lee Je-hoon transforms into a passionate detective

Actor Lee Je-hoon of MBC's 'Investigation Team Leader 1958' played the role of hillbilly detective Park Young-han.

'Investigation Chief 1958' is a prequel to 'Investigation Chief 1958', which wrote the history of Korean investigative dramas, and is set in 1958, when Detective Park Young-han was appointed to Seoul. It tells the story of Detective Park Young-han, who specializes in apprehending petty thieves, teams up with three colleagues, breaks down the absurdity of corrupt power, and is reborn as a detective for the people.

Director Kim Seong-hoon of the movies 'Confidential Assignment' and 'Rampant' took charge of directing, and new writer Kim Young-shin, discovered by the MBC drama IP development team who planned 'Old School Intern' and 'Black Sun', took charge of writing. Writer Jay Park, who wrote the dramas ‘Chief Kim’, ‘The Fiery Priest’, and ‘Vincenzo’, participated as a creator.

Actor Lee Je-hoon plays the younger version of the legendary ‘Chief Park’ Park Young-han. Park Young-han is more humane than anyone else, but he is a person with firmness and insight who is not shaken by any external pressure. He plans to show his colors by portraying the youth of Park Young-han, previously played by Choi Bul-am.

The character teaser video features a young man, Park Young-han. A desperate voice is heard saying, “I really want to catch it, but I can’t.” We are looking forward to the team play of Park Young-han, Kim Sang-soon (Lee Dong-hwi), Cho Kyung-hwan (Choi Woo-sung), and Seo Ho-jeong (Yoon Hyun-soo) who are united as one team. As he is renowned for having "the highest arrest rate for cattle thieves in Gyeonggi-do for three consecutive years," the bare-fisted action against evil and injustice is expected to be thrilling and exhilarating.

MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'Investigation Team Leader 1958' will premiere on April 19 at 9:50 PM.
