Jang Ki-ha "My grandfather was the founder of Jongno Bookstore."

Jang Ki-ha confessed to having a rare disease and revealed that his grandfather was the founder of Jongseo Book.

On this day, Jang Ki-ha shared the reason why he decided to direct the music for the movie 'Smuggling'. He said, “When I was resting after wrapping up Jang Ki-ha and the Faces, I got a call from director Ryu Seung-wan. He asked me if I wanted to do film music. “I said I didn’t know how to do it at all, but I was going to go all the way with the group sound of the 1970s, so I told him to do it comfortably like he did with Jang Ki-ha and The Faces.”

He continued, “It was the third time in my life that I lived that hard. Entrance examination, military service, and then ‘smuggling’ work. There is too much work to be done. I made 19 songs, each lasting 50 minutes. I make regular albums the way I want, but (film music) has to be endlessly revised. “What really pisses me off is that they give me a thousand pieces of feedback and I have nothing to refute,” he said.

Jang Ki-ha said, “On the last day of work, I congratulated Director Ryu Seung-wan and said that Jang Ki-ha had created the only work in which he worked as a music director. He just smiled and drank. Afterwards, I met him during mixing work, and director Ryu Seung-wan told me that he was planning 'Veteran 2' and asked me to choose after reading the scenario. When I came to my senses, I was doing it again. It's even electronic this time. “I search YouTube and study while working,” he said.

Jang Ki-ha recently confessed that he had experienced something upsetting because of Park Jin-young (JYP). Jang Ki-ha's original dream was to be a drummer. He said, “I was the drummer in my first band, ‘Open Your Eyes Cobain.’ “In the military, I actually developed a rare disease in my left hand while I was practicing to join the military band,” he said, revealing that he suffered from focal dystonia.

Jang Ki-ha, who eventually gave up on the military band and joined the regular army, said, “While in the army, I started playing the guitar little by little and tried to compose songs, so I made things like ‘Cheap Coffee’ and ‘The Moon is Waning, Let’s Go’. Even then, I didn't intend to sing. After making it, I wondered how I would make it for others by making it in my own way of speaking. “That’s how we created ‘Jang Ki-ha and the Faces.’” Currently, the rare disease is said to be “about 98% recovered.”

Jang Ki-ha is also a best-selling author. He boasted, “I published the prose collection ‘It doesn’t matter, does it?’ and went through about 18 printings,” and added, “I’ve lived close to 40 years old, so I had all kinds of thoughts accumulated inside me, but I couldn’t convey them through words. I felt frustrated, so I published it.” The reason was stated.
