What are the highlights of the drama ‘Doctor Slump’?

JTBC's Saturday-Sunday drama 'Doctor Slump' revealed the key points to watch.

'Doctor Slump' is a romantic comedy depicting the cardiopulmonary resuscitation story of Yeo Jeong-woo (Park Hyeong-sik) and Nam Ha-neul (Park Shin-hye), whose lives were only on the upward curve but then hit the brakes.

1) The chemistry between actors Park Hyung-sik and Park Shin-hye

Park Hyung-sik and Park Shin-hye, who are working together for the first time in about 11 years since 'The Heirs', plan to portray the childish but fresh, pleasant and exciting relationship changes of those who have spent the most brilliant and the most humble times together.

Park Hyung-sik plays Yeo Yeong-woo, a star plastic surgeon who falls into a slump, and Park Shin-hye plays Nam Ha-neul, an anesthesiologist suffering from burnout syndrome. Yoon Park played the role of Bin Dae-yeong, a plastic surgeon full of bravado and pride, and Kong Seong-ha played the role of Lee Hong-ran, an anesthesiologist and friend of Nam Ha-neul.

Star doctor Yeo Yeong-woo goes through a slump after a mysterious medical accident, and workaholic doctor Nam Ha-neul, who was obsessed with work, faces depression and burnout.

'Doctor Slump' depicts the process of facing a mental illness that anyone can experience and finding a way to heal and overcome it. Director Oh Hyeon-jong said, "The characters in 'Doctor Slump' look perfect on the outside, but on the inside, they are sick, sick, and full of deficiencies. In the end, I was drawn to the work by the good message that healing and overcoming mental illness is only possible through the power of loved ones. “I decided to participate,” he said.


3) Romantic comedy by director Oh Hyun-jong and writer Baek Sun-woo

Director Oh Hyun-jong of 'The Man in Memory' and 'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo' took charge of directing, and writer Baek Seon-woo of 'Heartless Cohabitation' and 'What's Wrong with Secretary Kim' participated in the writing.
