Park Shin-hye♥Park Hyeong-sik, a youth who was brilliant when he was at his humblest
On the 26th, JTBC released the main poster for the new Saturday-Sunday drama 'Doctor Slump' (written by Baek Seon-woo, directed by Oh Hyun-jong). It contains warm moments between the main characters, Nam Ha-neul (played by Park Shin-hye) and Yeo Jeong-woo (played by Park Hyeong-sik).
‘Doctor Slump’ is a romantic comedy. It depicts the cardiopulmonary resuscitation of Nam Ha-neul and Yeo Jeong-woo's 'ruined life' who hit the brakes after only running on an upward curve in life. The process of two people becoming each other's light unfolds.
The poster was peaceful. The subtle atmosphere between Nam Ha-neul and Yeo Jeong-woo also attracted attention. I also felt a retro mood. The two are sitting side by side in an old stationery store, eating ice cream.
The story of two people was announced. The venom and wisdom of school days when people were competing for first place in the school, as well as their faces that have lost the vitality of life, were captured. The phrase, ‘I was comforted to know that, unfortunately, I am not the only one like this’ also stands out.
Park Shin-hye plays the role of anesthesiologist ‘Nam Ha-neul’. Haneul is a person suffering from burnout syndrome and cannot do anything other than study and work. One day, he looks back on his life and pledges to change.
Park Hyung-sik plays the role of star plastic surgeon Yeo Jeong-woo. Jungwoo is a character who is in the worst slump of his life. He was a star doctor with both skill and character, but a mysterious medical accident pushed him to the edge.
I am looking forward to the romance narrative between Park Shin-hye and Park Hyung-sik. That's right, the two are reuniting in one work 10 years after the 2013 drama 'The Heirs'. The chemistry will shine.
The production team said, “Nam Ha-neul and Yeo Jeong-woo’s life of cardiopulmonary resuscitation will permeate in a pleasant and warm way,” and “The story of comforting each other during burnout will provide full healing.”
Producer Oh Hyeon-jong took charge of directing. PD Oh has previously presented ‘That Man’s Memory’ and ‘Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo’. Writer Baek Seon-woo, who wrote ‘Cohabitation with Insecurities’ and ‘What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim’, also joined forces.
Meanwhile, JTBC's new Saturday-Sunday drama 'Doctor Slump' will premiere at 10:30 p.m. on January 27.
