‘Mr. Trot 2’ Preliminary Trial True Park Ji-hyun’s Homework

Park Ji-hyun, who rose to prominence thanks to Jang Yoon-jung, is being held back by Jang Yoon-jung. Even though he achieved results with outstanding skills, he was not properly celebrated because he was part of the ‘Jang Yoon-jung division.’

In the TV Chosun Trot Survival show 'Mr. Trot 2 - The Beginning of a New Legend' (hereinafter referred to as 'Mr. Trot 2'), which aired on the 5th, Jin Seon-mi's protagonists selected by the masters were revealed after the preliminary trial was over.

The Jin chosen by the master preliminaries was Park Ji-hyun of the university team, who attracted attention as the protagonist of All Hearts in the shortest time. Park Ji-hyun, who was selected as 'Jin', said, "I know that it means to work harder in the future, so I will work harder," and expressed her feelings, "It feels really good to get first place."

Ji-Hyun Park became closer to the TOP7 by becoming a member of the preliminaries. This is because in the past season 1 of 'Mr. Trot', Kim Ho-jung, Lim Young-woong, and Hong Jam-eon were elected to Jin Seon-mi one after another in the preliminaries, and among them, Kim Ho-jung and Lim Young-woong were ultimately placed in the TOP7.

He also performed excellently in the team missions that followed. Jae-soo Kang, Tae-poong Kang, Chae-pyeong Lim, Song-ho Jang, Soo-ho Choi, Jun-hyeop Yoon, and Ji-hyun Park from the college division, who were the only ones to receive All Hearts in the master preliminaries, chose the semi-trot genre and prepared for the stage of Min-ho Jang's 'I Love You, Sister'.

The college team won all hearts by showing off their surprising charm by performing a performance reminiscent of a musical and moving around like an idol, as well as a sexy dance with a rose in their mouth.

Jang Min-ho, the original songwriter, admired the song, saying, “Is this the kind of song it was?” and then said, “I should get a tip from this performance and sing it accordingly.” Kim Hee-jae said, “As a Trot idol, while watching these people’s songs, I think, ‘These people are Trot idols.’” He added, “It feels like they sang after receiving training and preparation for a long time. “I would like to give 100 points to the selection of outfits that do not miss the freshness and the distribution of parts that make good use of my strengths,” he said.

Jang Yoon-jeong said, “It is clear that we are on the rise,” and added, “There were no mistakes and no one had any regrets. It seemed like the amount of practice was really great. “It was great,” he said. Lee Hong-gi said, “I really liked the three twists. “The last slow tempo felt like ‘I’ll send you to paradise,’” he said, laughing. Boom brightened the mood by saying, “I thought the tie was usually worn by office workers when they were having a hard time or having company dinners, but I felt like I could look so cool with just a tie.”

However, the 'pushing controversy' that arose during the preliminary examination is a source of anxiety for Park Ji-hyun. Even though Park Ji-hyun is a singer under Chorokbaem E&M like 'Mr. Trot 2' masters Jang Yoon-jung, Kim Hee-jae, and Boom, she entered the audition as a college division participant with the job of fisherman.

As a result, opinions were divided that the 'Mr. Trot 2' audition was unfair. Jang Yoon-jeong's purpose of finding a new face was lost by focusing on taking care of her own family.

Park Ji-hyun’s skills are outstanding. He has a singing ability that is at par with traditional trot, a fresh mask, and a freshness. However, there are concerns that his star quality may fade as he is labeled as ‘Jang Yoon-jung’s disciple.’

Even though he won the preliminaries crown, it was a bit awkward to receive sincere congratulations. It is time to continue to prove that you are not Jang Yoon-jeong's halo by competing solely with your skills in the remaining missions. Filling in the disappointing 2% is a task that Park Ji-hyun must solve in the future.
