Lee Yong-sik, 'opposed' to daughter's marriage, "I'd rather meet in secret"

TV CHOSUN Comedian Lee Yong-sik and his daughter Lee Su-min appear in the 100% pure real documentary entertainment show ‘Joseon’s Lover’. Prior to this, the production team pre-released a video of 'Father-Daughter War Ahead of Marriage' between Lee Su-min, a 'lover', and Lee Yong-sik, a father who finds it difficult to let his daughter go.

In the pre-release video released on the 15th, Lee Yong-sik and Lee Su-min, who are in a car together, have a conversation about 'marriage'. When Su-min Lee asks, “At what age can you go?” Yong-sik Lee cuts him off by saying, “You’re young. Now is not the time.” And when Lee Yong-sik said, “I’ve never met (my boyfriend)...” Lee Soo-min said, “So, you’re asking why you’ve never met him. “How can I ask someone to meet me because even the word ‘boyfriend’ is provocative?” he said in astonishment.

However, Lee Yong-sik said, “It wasn’t that I didn’t meet him. “It was difficult to meet him,” he said, explaining his father’s position. She then revealed the real reason why she does not meet Lee Soo-min's boyfriend, saying, "I feel like I would collapse on the spot if I meet him." When Su-min Lee asked, “Why are you sitting down?” Yong-sik Lee said, “I can’t express that in words,” showing his complicated feelings. To the end of the video, Lee Yong-sik said, “I wish we could meet in secret. “I’m having a hard time,” he said, maintaining his stance that he did not want to know anything about his daughter Lee Soo-min’s love life.
