Cha Joo-young said about the character Hye-jeong in the play, "She wants to hang out with her friends who are well-off, but various circumstances prevent her from following along. So she is a character who tries hard to follow her. She appears as the daughter of a laundromat," and "she is about 4th in rank out of the 5 perpetrators." explained.
Regarding the parts he paid attention to while acting, he said, "I paid attention to and participated in everything from beginning to end. I had to get confirmation from the director a lot. I paid a lot of attention to hair, costumes for each situation, makeup, etc." He added, “Because my occupation is a flight attendant, I wanted to look neat when wearing the uniform, and when wearing civilian clothes, I wanted to look like a light person, as opposed to when I was a flight attendant.”
Cha Joo-young, who did not want to look plain, explained, “I thought there should be a clear distinction between my work and private life, so I wanted to look as flashy and sophisticated as possible, but I also wanted to wear colors that seemed lacking.”
When asked if there was anything she wanted to say to Hye-jeong, Cha Joo-young said, "Hye-jeong, dress appropriately and listen to your limits. In retribution, everything you do will come back to you. Make a reformation."
The most memorable scene was the scene where he met Moon Dong-eun (played by Song Hye-kyo) and knelt down and prayed. He said, “It was long, the emotions were varied, the tears had to come out at the right time, and it was hot. “I said it would be difficult if I didn’t get the OK right away, but fortunately I got the OK right away,” he recalled.
He also talked about the atmosphere on set. Cha Joo-young said, “The teamwork was great, without a doubt. “Every scene was filmed intensely with extreme tension,” he said. “We are very, very close. “There are times when people call me by name during the play, and I see them often even after filming is over.”
She said that she did not take any special care to achieve the ‘glamour after breast surgery’ setting. Cha Joo-young explained, "I came out with a bit of weight on. I tried to maintain it without any special care while filming. I didn't want to lose any more weight. I think I'm going back now."
