Jang Yoon-jung’s hit songs with a new owner
Episode 590 of KBS2's 'Immortal Songs', which aired on the 21st, was featured as '2023 Lunar New Year Special - RE:PLAY Jang Yoon-jung'. Six juniors, including Yang Ji-eun, Kim Na-hee, Heo Chan-mi, Hae-su, Kwak Ji-eun, and Hwang Woo-rim, competed to win Jang Yun-jung's hidden masterpiece. Here, Kim Hee-jae and Na Tae-ju performed a special tribute stage. Jang Yoon-jeong personally went on stage and responded to the audience and juniors. According to Nielsen Korea, a viewership rating research agency, the 590th episode of 'Immortal Songs' recorded a viewership rating of 7.6% nationwide and 7.6% in the metropolitan area, ranking first in the same time slot for five consecutive weeks.
The first stage was Kwak Ji-eun VS Kim Na-hee, who competed for 'Memory'. The order in which Jang Yoon-jeong chose was Kim Na-hee in the first verse and Kwak Ji-eun in the second verse. After the two opened the stage together, Kim Na-hee performed the first verse. Kim Na-hee calmly showed off her voice and heightened the atmosphere. Kwak Ji-eun let out a high-pitched note filled with emotion.
As soon as the stage was over, Jang Yun-jeong encouraged her juniors by shouting, “You’re good.” Afterwards, Jang Yun-jeong said in her review, "It would have been difficult to cut and sing one song, but I was touched because they sang it well." The famous song judges ruled in favor of Kwak Ji-eun, and she became the new owner of ‘Memory.’
Following the first stage, Na Tae-joo appeared on a special stage with the 'Taekwon Trot' stage. Na Tae-joo heated up the stage with ‘Jang Yun-jeong’s Twist’. Na Tae-joo presented a variety of attractions, such as showing Taekwondo poomsae and kicking in the middle of the stage, and throwing an apple high and breaking it with a kick.
Hae-soo VS Yang Ji-eun continued their second match with 'I cried with my heart'. Ji-eun Yang took the lead and Haesoo took the second shot. Yang Ji-eun started the stage by adjusting the strength and weakness of the song and riding the beat. Hae-soo sang the song with a husky voice that was full of flavor. The two, who majored in Korean traditional music, each showed off their different charms.
Jang Yoon-jeong said, "It must have been difficult for Hae-soo to compete with Yang Ji-eun, her senior in traditional Korean music and the winner of the audition, and this time will be a nourishing experience." She added, "Yang Ji-eun also won the contest, and it must have been a burden to appear in this event, but I am grateful to them. “It was all cool,” he praised. Yang Ji-eun beat Hae-soo and received ‘I cried with my heart’.
Kim Hee-jae appeared on a special stage. Kim Hee-jae expressed her sorrowful feelings of love with ‘Agatha’. Then, ‘Sister next door’ was changed to ‘Oppa next door’ and the stage was set.
For the third stage, Heo Chan-mi VS Hwang Woo-rim competed for 'Star King'. Hwang Woo-rim struck first and Heo Chan-mi struck second. Hwang Woo-rim showed off his cheeky charm by dancing and singing at the same time, and Heo Chan-mi also showed off her passionate charm by showing off her dancing skills.
Jang Yoon-jeong said, "When I saw the two of them on stage, I thought, 'They all own the songs.' 'Oh My God' was also a song that was rejected by the seniors.
