'Scarecrow' Drama Sees Ratings Surge with Episode 5, New Twists Await in Episode 6
Ahead of the sixth episode, ENA's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Scarecrow' has released stills featuring tense encounters between Kang Tae-joo (played by Park Hae-soo) and Lee Ki-hwan (played by Jung Moon-sung), as well as a poignant reunion between Lee Ki-beom (played by Song Geon-hee) and Kang Soon-young (played by Seo Ji-hye).
In the previous episode, Lee Ki-beom was identified as a suspect in the Gangseong serial murder case. A search warrant was issued, leading Kang Tae-joo and other detectives and police officers to raid his home and bookstore. Two conflicting pieces of evidence were found: a photo proving Lee Ki-beom's alibi during the third incident and the handbag of survivor Park Ae-sook (played by Hwang Eun-hoo) stored at Gangseong Bookstore. Amidst growing confusion, Kang Tae-joo began to suspect Lee Ki-hwan, Lee Ki-beom's brother, as another suspect.
Another photo captures a brief meeting at the police station between Lee Ki-beom and Kang Soon-young. Lee Ki-beom's hollow and dry eyes, along with Kang Soon-young's gaunt and lifeless face, hint at the pain and sorrow they've endured in just a few days. The sight of Kang Soon-young holding Lee Ki-beom's cuffed hands tightly conveys her deep affection, leaving viewers with a heavy heart.
The production team stated, "In today's (5th) episode, Kang Tae-joo learns that Lee Ki-beom was detained and assaulted during an illegal investigation by detectives, and he becomes enraged. As new clues emerge, another suspect appears. Stay tuned for the twists and turns in the search for the real culprit."
Episode 6 of 'Scarecrow' airs tonight at 10 PM.
