Lee Soon-sil: “My daughter was taken away by a human trafficker. I hope she lives.”
North Korean defector CEO and broadcaster Lee Soon-sil revealed that she has been looking for her daughter for 17 years.

In episode 567 of MBN's 'Scoop World', which aired on the 26th, the story of Lee Soon-sil, who has been looking for her daughter for 17 years, was revealed.

Lee Soon-sil, a North Korean defector and broadcaster, is a former North Korean nursing officer and has enjoyed success as a businesswoman, succeeding in the Kaesong-style rice cake business she started three years ago. Monthly sales reached a shopping 380 million won.

However, Lee Soon-sil had a painful story. When he defected from North Korea, his daughter was taken away by Chinese human traffickers and he is still searching to this day. Soon-sil Lee decided to defect from North Korea for the sake of her starving daughter, but revealed that her 3-year-old daughter was taken away by human traffickers she encountered while escaping from North Korea.

Lee Soon-sil said, "As soon as they saw us, they took the child out of the backpack. How scary must it be to be caught in the hands of men you don't know. They grabbed the child and started bargaining for 2,000 won, 3,000 won, and 5,000 won in front of them. “I thought, ‘They sell people like dogs or cats,’” he recalled.

In the end, Lee Soon-sil, who defected from North Korea alone, worked tirelessly and did not hesitate to do manual labor to raise money to find her child. The reason he worked hard to appear on TV was to let more people know about his situation.

Writer Ji Young-bin, who had been helping her find her daughter after inquiring several times with a broker from Changbai County, carefully brought up the news she had heard through the broker to Lee Soon-sil. He said, "The broker's older brother was the head of the police station at the time in the neighborhood where the child was lost. After finding out why we were coming, he said he would find it and we negotiated. The story about the broker is that if you say the wrong thing, you will be in big trouble, but your daughter went to a very rich family."

Lee Soon-sil said, "If that's true, I'm grateful even if I can't get my daughter back. If I can just see her and hug her once, that's it. I feel so sorry and guilty that I'm the only one living here well. I can't say, 'You're my daughter, so be happy.' “I plan to give it to him even if it's just a piece of flesh that is in that house,” he said.

Lee Soon-sil's husband comforted her by saying, "If you think it's true after looking at the photo, it's best to go to China and confirm it in person. You shouldn't look at it because of the fear that it might not be true."

Lee Soon-sil, who looked at the photo, shook her head. However, he expressed a desire to go and see the child's face in person, saying that the child's double eyelids and eyes were similar. He also wanted to do a DNA test if his parents gave him permission.

Lee Sun-sil and his wife visit Yeonmi-jeong in Ganghwa Island every winter to see across the Imjin River. Lee Sun-sil, who visited this place, celebrated her daughter's birthday and wished, "Stay alive. Don't die, live. No matter where you are, if you are alive, we will meet, so let's meet."
