Actor Kim Jung-hyun made his first public appearance in two years after controversy over his private life with ex-girlfriend Seo Ye-ji.

On the 27th, a production presentation for the new Friday-Saturday drama 'Season of Kokdu' was held at MBC Golden Mouse Hall in Sangam-dong, Seoul. Director Baek Soo-chan and actors Kim Jeong-hyun, Lim Soo-hyang, Kim Da-som, Ahn Woo-yeon, Kim In-kwon, and Cha Chung-hwa attended the event.

'Kkokdu's Season' is a fantasy romance drama about Kokdu, the god of death who comes down to this world every 99 years to punish humans, and meets Han Je-jeol, a doctor with mysterious abilities.

Kim Jeong-hyeon plays two roles: Kokdu, who incurred the Creator's wrath, and Do Jin-woo, a professor of surgery at Pilseong Hospital.

Kim Jung-hyun, who made his first public appearance after the controversy over his private life with his ex-girlfriend Seo Ye-ji, bowed his head loudly during the photo time and said, "I will work hard with a new heart." Next, he and Lim Soo-hyang showed a friendly appearance by striking various poses such as hand hearts and head hearts with bright smiles.

In April 2021, when Kim Jung-hyun was filming the MBC drama 'Time', which aired in 2018, suspicions arose that Seo Ye-ji manipulated Kim Jung-hyun, who was her lover, to drastically change the script and directing, leading to Kim Jung-hyun's mid-term withdrawal. According to the revealed text conversation, Seo Ye-ji called Kim Jung-hyun 'Kim Ttak-tak' and demanded that her co-star Seohyun treat her harshly. Accordingly, Kim Jung-hyun refused to link arms with Seohyun during the photo time at the production press conference for 'Time' and showed a dark expression throughout, sparking controversy over his attitude.

‘Season of Kokdu’ will premiere on the 27th at 9:50 PM.
