In tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Youth's Tale' (written by Jeong Hyeon-jung/directed by Lee Jong-jae/produced by Writing & Picture Media/planned by Studio Dragon), which will be aired for the first time on Monday, February 6, five young people from Joseon with strong personalities overcome their status and gender. We plan to create a harmony as beautiful as a rainbow. In the play, Crown Prince Lee Hwan (played by Park Hyeong-sik) and royal officer Han Seong-on (played by Yoon Jong-seok) are close friends, having studied under the same teacher since childhood. However, due to the 'Book of Ghosts' sent to Lee Hwan, cracks begin to appear in the friendship between the two men. This is because the prophecy, which contains all the curses of life, contains the content that 'your friends will turn their backs on you and point their swords at you.'
In particular, since Han Seong-on is the son of Han Jung-eon (played by Jo Seong-ha), the head of a long-established meritorious family and a member of the Left Council, who is keeping a close eye on Lee Hwan, who suddenly became crown prince, his family may be a threat to Lee Hwan. Here, Min Jae-i (Jeon So-ni), Han Seong-on's fiancé, is caught up in a murder case and turns to Lee Hwan, foreshadowing another crisis that will come to the friendship between the two men. There is growing curiosity about how the ghost's curse, the atmosphere in the house, and Min Jae-yi's presence will affect Lee Hwan and Han Seong-on.
Combination 2. Min Jae-i, Jang Garam, and Kim Myeong-jin, Joseon's entire investigation team is dispatched!
Attention is also focused on the relationship between Min Jae-i and Jang Garam (played by Pyo Ye-jin), who are perfect compatibility and understand each other's intentions just by making eye contact. Min Jae-i and Jang Gar-ram, who are happy even when they are caught climbing a fence while dressed as men and get caned, show signs of showing perfect teamwork that goes beyond their status as mistress and servant.
Min Jae-i and Jang Gar-ram, who have been working together to uncover various cases in Gaeseong, visit Kim Myeong-jin (played by Lee Tae-seon), the greatest eccentric in Joseon, to track down the truth behind the family murder case. A full-fledged investigation is being carried out by Jeonjeongdang, which is said to immediately reveal the cause of death just by looking at the body. While Jang Garam asks for Kim Myeong-jin's disciple to help Min Jae-i, a question mark arises as to whether the trio of Joseon investigators who are serious about investigating the case will be able to uncover the truth of the mystery.
In this way, 'A Tale of Youth' plans to invigorate the play by depicting various relationships, including new relationships that bloom in the whirlpool of fate as well as inevitable conflicts. Therefore, the performance of the actors who will meet the youth of Joseon will be more important than anything else. Park Hyeong-sik (playing the role of Lee Hwan) said, “It was a very fun, bright and energetic scene with many friends of the same age. “I met these friends and had a really fun and happy filming experience,” he said, expressing the friendly atmosphere on set.
Jeon So-ni (played by Min Jae-i) also added, “I think that the sense of distance that becomes comfortable as we slowly get to know each other over time and experience more scenes together is the driving force behind our strong trust in each other,” adding, “Youth Love Story” is the first episode in which the actors’ synergy will be in full bloom. It makes me look forward to the broadcast even more.
tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Youth Month', in which the deep trust and teamwork built up by the young actors who have been together for a long time will shine, will premiere at 8:50 pm on February 6th (Monday).
