Yoo Jae-seok, ‘Doll Child’ collector, explains rumors of moving to Daechi-dong

MBC's 'What Do You Do When You Play?', which aired on the 11th, featured the second story of '2023 Winter Training' by 'Nol What Sports University' classmates Yoo Jae-seok, Jeong Jun-ha, Haha, Shin Bong-seon, Park Jin-joo, Lee Yi-kyung, and Lee Mi-joo, as well as the winning members of the group rope jumping event. Their appearance was drawn.
The broadcast on this day began with the members heading to the long-awaited final training site of the ‘2023 Nolmum Physical Education Winter Training’. Yoo Jae-seok, who was talking while on the move, called Jeon So-min of 'Running Man' a 'dol child' and mentioned the dolls of 'What Do You Do When You Play?'
Yoo Jae-seok listed the members' characteristics, saying, "Mi-joo is just before turning around. Mina (Shin Bong-seon) just has her eyes turned. Jinju is the one who doesn't really know if she is a turning point." He then added, "I'm a collector of dolls. My heart goes out to you? They're all dolls," causing laughter.
'What do you do when you play?' The members arrived at Sanjeong Lake and began group rope jumping training. The goal was to break the record of 18 successes achieved in the past Beggars from Seoul. Accordingly, Jinju Park showed that she was afraid of jumping rope. Haha and Yoo Jae-seok said, “If you get caught in the rope, you think you’ll die.” Enthusiasm was ignited through rigorous gear image training, but the challenge ended in failure as each member made mistakes.
Group rope jumping, which was thought to be over, returned as a surprise event. Complaints such as “What can you do in the snow?” and “I couldn’t see it because of my presbyopia” led to an event gift(?). On the morning of the recording, the members were embarrassed when they received a group text message saying that they had won the group jump rope re-challenge event. Each participant had to start from their home within a one-hour time limit and jump rope as a group at Eungbongsan Palgakjang. The members were worried about the physical strength of the weak sisters Park Jin-joo and Mi-ju Lee and whether Shin Bong-seon and Haha, who live in the farthest places, would arrive on time.
The first person to arrive at Eungbongsan Mountain was Jinju Park. Jinju Park, who has a phobia of rope jumping, made people laugh by exclaiming, "I never thought I would be this scared because I was born jumping rope. If that were the case, I should have studied less hard." Yoo Jae-seok then arrived and began training Jin-ju Park, saying, “This is not the time for you to be like this.” Lee Yi-kyung was fully prepared by purchasing an energy drink and toast requested by Lee Mi-joo at a convenience store.
All members gathered 10 minutes before the end of the time limit. However, due to the successive failures of Jeong Jun-ha and Lee Mi-joo, the time gradually decreased, and even the lines were replaced, but the members' mistakes continued. In consideration of the rope change time, an additional 2 minutes were given. Haha harshly coached, saying, “If the real cogwheel comes, you’ll go up, right?”, and Jinju Park strengthened her resolve, saying, “I’ll try again thinking that the world’s eyes will be on me.” The members who entered at the last opportunity succeeded in entering the group smoothly. However, with about 5 left, Jinju Park tripped over the rope and the challenge ended in failure.
Jinju Park expressed her regret by saying, “I will post an apology,” then lowering her head and saying, “I really tried to hold on, but I couldn’t. I’m in tears.” 'What do you do when you play?' The members comforted Jinju Park and created warmth. Lee Mi-joo hugged Park Jin-joo, who was sad, and Yoo Jae-seok comforted her, saying, "There's no need to cry. This isn't something at stake. It's not even a national competition." Lee Yi-kyung wiped away her tears, and Shin Bong-seon and Jeong Jun-ha also knew and embraced Park Jin-joo's hard-working heart. Haha made Jinju Park laugh by joking, “Crying doesn’t change the outcome.”
Although the group jump rope ended in failure, the members became closer as they built camaraderie and friendship. In particular, Haha attracted attention by gifting a beginner's jumping rope after the recording was over, saying, "I support you more than anyone else, you guy." The sight of Park Jin-joo practicing hard with the jump rope that Haha gave her made people look forward to Park Jin-joo coming back even stronger. In addition, Yoo Jae-seok also explained the recent rumors of a move. Yoo Jae-seok said, "Some community said I had moved. I was afraid that it would cause harm to the people living there, so I thought I should fix this."
Meanwhile, according to Nielsen Korea, a viewership rating research company, on this day's 'What Do You Do When You Play?' The household viewership rating was 6.2% in the metropolitan area. The 2049 viewership rating, a key indicator of channel competitiveness, was 3.3%, ranking first among entertainment programs broadcast on Saturday. The best minute was the scene where Yoo Jae-seok makes Park Jin-joo and Lee Mi-joo practice jumping rope while waiting for Haha and Shin Bong-seon at the octagonal pavilion in Eungbongsan Mountain, and the highest viewer rating per minute soared to 7.2%.
