MBC's entertainment show has lost its direction due to 'the point of celebrity interference'

It's a manager observation entertainment show, but somehow it seems to be attracting attention. The reality is that his celebrities receive more attention than his manager. I can't tell whether it's 'the point of omnipotent interference' or 'the point of celebrity interference'.

MBC's 'Point of Omniscient Interfere' (hereinafter referred to as 'Point of Omniscient Interfere') is a program that examines the daily lives of celebrities, starting with reports from managers. It was created to show the fun that comes from a manager's daily routine, relationship with the artist in charge, and solidarity. However, at some point, the manager's appearance became a means and the amount disappeared.

'Full Presence' is maintaining an average viewership rating of 4%. Since 2018, it has been occupying the prime time slot at 11pm on Saturday nights. However, perhaps relieved by the stable viewership ratings, the program is already losing its identity. In other words, the charm of ‘all-seeing’ is disappearing.

In the broadcast on the 11th, Lee Young-ja, Jeon Hyun-moo, Kwon Yul, and Song Seong-ho's Jeju Island mukbang took place. Although Director Song served as Lee Youngja's manager, he was merely a member who participated in mukbangs, and as a manager, he did not take the lead or take care of anything.

Rather, 'celebrity' Jeon Hyun-moo opened the splendid opening of 'Green Onion Kimchi Boeun Road'. The four people competed in a meat mukbang at a pork rib restaurant, and Jeon Hyun-moo played an active role as a 'pachin guy' as expected.

Youngja Lee made ginger latte and snow country compote for the members and also promised to film the 'basil kimchi' recipe. He also continued to introduce delicious restaurants in Jeju Island, creating the feeling of appearing on a cooking program or eating show. Today's broadcast started with a mukbang and ended with a mukbang. It was a situation where mukbang became the main focus and daily life with the manager was relegated to being a guest.

In the broadcast on the 4th, Big Bang's Taeyang appeared with his manager Kim Kyung-rae. However, Kim Kyung-rae was just a person needed for the prerequisite of 'manager's report', and in reality, it seemed like Taeyang's 6 Years Only was meant to promote his new album.

Taeyang, who made a comeback after a long time with his new song 'VIBE', chose 'all presence' as a means of promotion. The publicity itself was not a problem, but it did not fit the purpose of ‘all-out presence’. The manager was a shadow, and what viewers saw was Taeyang's self-management, the lunch box prepared by his wife Min Hyo-rin, and memories with the group members.

In particular, as Gunbang member Daesung of Big Bang and actors Joo Won and Go Kyung-pyo appeared together, attention naturally focused on celebrities. Moreover, since all three were stars who had been together for a long time or rarely appeared on entertainment shows, it was enough to steal all the attention. In fact, Taeyang's manager just ate pork cutlet at the restaurant and could not participate in the conversation at all. In the end, after the broadcast ended, there were only a lot of articles related to the episodes of the Gunbang members.

The planning intention is the identity of the program and a promise to viewers. 'All-Time' is not a broadcast created to promote a specific celebrity. Also, it was not planned to foster friendship between celebrities. By only chasing topicality, it became popular.

If the viewership ratings only increase, can we forget about the purpose of the plan? It is time to look once again at the starting point of ‘all-seeing’.
