Choo Young-woo “Jang Dong-yoon = mood maker”
Jang Dong-yoon played the role of Lee Du-hak, who was born as the son of a tenant farmer in a small, quiet village in Yeosu. Seol In-ah played Oh Jung-shin, whom Doo-hak and Cheol-woong fell in love with at first sight. Choo Young-woo played the role of Choi Cheol-woong, the second generation reader of Doo-hak's family. While Lee Doo-hak is filling the pages of his brilliant youth with his brother-like friend Choi Cheol-woong and Oh Jung-shin, whom he fell in love with at first sight, he encounters an unexpected event and is placed at a crossroads in his fate.
Choo Young-woo described the character by saying, “I was born into a wealthy family and I hate losing.”
Regarding his first impression of the work, Youngwoo Choo said, “I wanted to challenge myself as an actor by playing the character Cheolwoong. There are many difficulties and the weight and size of the case are large, so I thought, 'Can I do it?' “I wanted to do it,” he said. “The director helped me be free to do what I wanted to do, and the actors also helped me.”
Actors who filmed on the KBS Suwon set. Choo Young-woo said that he was recommended a restaurant near KBS by Seol In-ah, and made people laugh by saying, "There is a pot lid pork belly restaurant on the Suwon set, and it's really delicious."
Choo Young-woo, who is starring in a period drama for the first time, said, “I put some time and effort into dialect. “We filmed a lot in Jeolla-do and ate and listened to it there, so I became more familiar with it,” he said. He continued, “Cheolwoong has a refreshing personality. “I’ve always tried to be more refreshing,” he said.
Regarding working with the two actors, Choo Young-woo said, “Dong-yoon was a senior and an atmosphere maker, so I depended on him a lot on set. Sister Ina was my spiritual support. They worried about my meals and sleep. He thanked me, saying, “He is a warm person.”
'Oasis' is a drama that tells the story of three young people who fiercely sacrifice themselves to protect their own dreams, friendship, and first love, their only dream of life, set against the backdrop of Korea's turbulent times from the 1980s to the 1990s. It will be aired for the first time at 9:50 pm on the 6th.
