Jin Yi-han lost 7kg for a slimmer look in ‘Oasis’

Actor Jin Yi-han returned to the small screen after two years.

In KBS2's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Oasis', which premiered on the 6th, Jin Yi-han appeared as Oh Man-ok, the right-hand man of security officer Hwang Chung-seong (played by Jeon No-min).

'Oasis' is a drama that depicts the romance of youth during those intense times, set in Korea from the 1980s to the 1990s.

Jin Yi-han, who appeared as a security chief in the first episode, created tension in the story with his sharp appearance and restrained acting. Facial expressions, eyes, and gestures revealed inner emotions even without much dialogue.

In particular, in the scene where he spied on the house of Choi Young-sik (played by Park Won-sang), who announced his candidacy for the National Assembly, the cold atmosphere was maintained with a delicate expression, and the conversation with Hwang Chung-seong also raised expectations for future developments.

Jin Yi-han lost 7 kg for this work and paid attention to weight management. “As it has been a long time since I communicated with viewers through a work, I was faithful to the script for a three-dimensional character, and since it is a drama like an oasis in the desert, I will deliver emotion and joy to viewers,” he said, expressing his thoughts on appearing in the drama.

Episode 2 of ‘Oasis’ will air at 9:50 PM on the 7th.
