'Handless Day' ended, Han Ga-in, 19+ talk just as good as Shin Dong-yeop

JTBC's 'Handless Day' is a program that tells the life stories of citizens dreaming of a new start in an unfamiliar place until they decide to move. An ongoing story about 'moving' at the peak of life's ups and downs, such as moving to a new home after marriage, becoming independent for the first time in life, and increasing or decreasing the family. The 15th and final episode, 'Goodbye Home Run', which aired on the 14th, contained the story of 'a trio of 13-year-old aspiring baseball players' from Sejong City's youth baseball team, the Angels, who left home to enter Park Chan-ho's alma mater, Gongju Middle School.
Before meeting the client, Shin Dong-yup and Han Ga-in joined 'Eagles' legend' baseball player Kim Tae-gyun, who served as a daily coach for the youth baseball team Angels. Shin Dong-yeop even surprised Kim Tae-gyun by showing off his knowledge of baseball. He not only recited Kim Tae-gyun's history, saying, "I have liked it quite a bit since I joined as a child member in 1982 when domestic professional baseball began," but also poured out all kinds of information, including the various nicknames of Kim Tae-gyun, a self-proclaimed rich man, and the stories related to them. It made my mouth drop open. While Kim Tae-gyun was impressed by Shin Dong-yeop's love for baseball, he also made people laugh by honestly saying, "I like 19+, so I wanted to try it with MC Shin Dong-yeop."
Han Ga-in also revealed an unexpected reason, choosing Shin Dong-yeop as the MC she works best with. Han Ga-in expressed her respect for Shin Dong-yeop's hosting ability, saying, "Among the MCs I've worked with so far, I get along best with Dong-yeop oppa. It was fun working together." He then expressed confidence as much as Shin Dong-yeop about the 19-year-old talk, saying, “(The skills of the 19-year-old talk show) are being spared on broadcast.” Shin Dong-yeop, Han Ga-in, and Kim Tae-gyun said, "It would be nice if the three of us could MC together in the future," and united as 19+ members, raising expectations for another meeting between them in the future.
Afterwards, Shin Dong-yeop, Han Ga-in, and Kim Tae-gyun visited the baseball stadium to meet players from the Sejong City youth baseball team, the Angels. The three clients, Ji-hyo Kim, Jin-woo Kim, and Tae-min Park, are about to study abroad after being accepted into the baseball team of Gongju Middle School, the only baseball team in Sejong City that has only 13 new students. Along with them, Hong Il-jeom and Seon Joo-ha, who dreamed of becoming a member of the women's national baseball team and even joined the working women's baseball team, brought a happy smile to the youth baseball team's passionate training. Kim Jin-woo said, "I feel like I'm always thinking about baseball," and showed his unwavering heart even when it was difficult, making us feel his deep affection for baseball. In response, Han Ga-in cheered, saying, “(After the players achieve their dreams), this broadcast will be used as a reference screen.”
As a father with a daughter majoring in sports, Shin Dong-yeop expressed deep sympathy for the parents of youth baseball teams. A parent said, "There were times when I wished my child wouldn't play baseball. I'm very worried because he has to exercise outdoors in the heat and cold." Shin Dong-yeop expressed his concern for his daughter, saying, "My daughter is a ballet major, so I know how she feels. She did ballet as a hobby when she was young and went to high school. I didn't want her to continue doing ballet, but she likes it, so I keep doing it." This resonated with parents whose children participate in sports.
Kim Tae-gyun, who took the mound as a one-day coach, showed off his senior skills by passing on his own special secrets to aspiring baseball players and also generously giving sincere advice based on experience. Tae-gyun Kim said for juniors who want to become home run kings like him, “It is most important to learn and practice the basics well at this time.” In addition, he listened to the players' concerns and provided practical advice and support, such as citing 'lower body' as the secret to excellent pitching. In addition, three years after his retirement, Kim Tae-gyun came to the plate wearing an Eagles uniform and won a 1-9 single against the Angels. Park Tae-min, who started as a pitcher, showed his will to win, saying, “I don’t even 1% think I’m going to lose.” The Angels players played with one mind and one will and won against Kim Tae-gyun, making us even more rooting for their hopeful future.
'A Day Without Hands' captures the moving stories of the lives of clients living across the country over the past 15 weeks with a warm perspective. A daughter who separated from her mother after getting married, a young couple looking for new hope despite damage from a tin-rent scam, a mother starting the second chapter of her life after her children separated, a daughter-in-law choosing to return to farming for her parents-in-law, and 150 people leaving the village where they had lived for five generations due to urban development. Various moving types and stories, including the Teojudaegam family in 2012, evoked sympathy and support from viewers. Shin Dong-yeop showed off his courage in his first outdoor entertainment show in 13 years, and Han Ga-in added to the fun of watching with her curious side. Shin Dong-yup and Han Ga-in tried to look deeper into the minds of their clients and empathize with them.
