Hyun Jin-young revealed that his wife once sent him to a mental hospital.

In KBS2's 'Men Who Do Housework Season 2' (hereinafter referred to as 'Men Who Do Housework 2'), which aired on the 25th, the story of singer Hyun Jin-young and actor Seo-woon Oh was revealed.

Even though it has been three months since Hyun Jin-young moved in, he only sang in an untidy room and showed an immature attitude like a child who couldn't keep his snacks away. His wife, Oh Seo-woon, who was worse off, started cleaning, offering to do it for him. However, Hyun Jin-young got angry and did not allow any of them to be thrown away.

When his wife tried to throw away the old notebook, Hyun Jin-young said, "This is what I wrote when you sent me to a mental hospital," and mentioned his difficult past due to a slump. Hyun Jin-young confessed, "I suffered from severe panic disorder and depression in 2002. My wife sent me to a mental hospital on the day my album was released. To be honest, I was in a bad mood at that time."

At the time, Hyun Jin-young refused, saying, "I already had an accident when I was young, so I was labeled, but I can't live with being labeled as a mental hospital."

Hyun Jin-young was also diagnosed with personality disorder by a psychiatrist. Hyun Jin-young said, "I overcame depression and panic disorder after receiving treatment at a mental hospital, but during treatment, the doctor told me that I had personality disorder. My mother suffered from illness for a long time and passed away when I was 14 years old and in the first year of middle school. The teacher said that when my mother passed away, I "I was so shocked that I felt like my personality and personality stopped working from then on. They said that if I don't get treatment even as I get older, my ability to think in all situations will return to what it was when I was 14," he confessed.

Hyun Jin-young cried every time he watched a drama he had watched several times. My wife, who prepared the meal, said, "Why do you cry every time you watch the same thing? That's what you saw, so eat." Hyun Jin-young grumbled, “Have your emotions dried up? Don’t you cry when you see something this sad?” The wife said, "I cried the first time, but I stopped crying the second time. Stop shaking and eat," and made Hyun Jin-young sit at the table. Hyun Jin-young got angry at his wife's nagging, saying, "I don't even touch the dog when I'm eating." In response, his wife criticized him, saying, “Coco and Blue (dogs) don’t shed anything when they eat.”

Hyun Jin-young still behaves like a child at times, so Oh Seo-woon makes her husband read the behavior guide out loud before leaving the house. His wife expressed her affectionate feelings for Hyun Jin-young, saying, "When I go out, I make a mistake with my words, and I get angry. Once I say something, I can't take it back. I can't control things like that. I'm in charge of Hyun Jin-young's training."
