‘Dieter’, a webtoon with 440 million views, is reborn as a drama

According to Studio Anic, a general content production company, on the 28th, it will join hands with Studio Shin Record to co-produce Kakao Webtoon 'Dieter' into a drama. The adaptation is currently in progress and is expected to provide viewers with fresh fun with a more expanded story while remaining faithful to the settings of the original.
'Dieter' is a story about the extremely obese protagonist Shin Soo-ji, who meets health trainer Seo Chan-hee and finds a healthy life through a diet that combines diet and exercise. From 'Shuttleman' to 'Temple of Hell', this is the work of artists Neonbee (writing) and Caramel (illustration) who have formed a large fan base on Kakao Webtoon for a long time.
'Dieter', which began serialization in February 2011 and was completed in July 2012, has accumulated 440 million views. Even after 10 years, it is still loved and called the ‘webtoon diet textbook’. In addition, it sold more than 40,000 copies of the book and received a lot of love overseas, including signing overseas publishing contracts in four Asian countries: Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
Studio Anic said, "We are pleased that the much-loved webtoon can be reborn as a drama. We ask for your interest in 'Dieter', which will be reborn as a drama." He added, "We will continue to secure and produce highly anticipated IP works and present them to the public with Studio Anic's unique capabilities."
Meanwhile, Studio Anic, which is promoting the video adaptation of 'Dieter', is a comprehensive content production company that produces 'Fighting Spirit', the next work by writer Moon Chung-il of the movie 'Extreme Job', 'New Record' based on the 2013 Korea Content Awards Grand Prize winner in the cartoon category, and 'New Record' based on the movie. We are preparing a lineup of dramas such as ‘Sunny’ and ‘All the Teachers’.
