‘BTS Hanbok Made’ Kim Young-jin “Made 100 Kim Tae-ri Hanboks”

Kim Young-jin, a designer who started working on hanbok at the age of 34, said, “I have been studying hanbok for about 19 years.” Kim Young-jin, who had acted in theater before, said, "It was difficult to make a living. I thought I should get a job, so I joined a fashion brand as an open member and worked as a salesperson first. After working for about 2-3 years, I ended up working for a luxury brand." It is said that Kim Young-jin even became the sales king when she worked as a supervisor for luxury brand L.
Regarding the reason why she became interested in hanbok, Kim Young-jin said, "I thought about what I wanted. I wanted to wear hanbok for a long time. I had a longing for ours." He also said, "When I first learned hanbok, I learned Baenatjeogori from Chimseonjang. There was a chimson master and a designer, so I thought I should design while learning."
Kim Young-jin has worked with the group BTS, British model Naomi Campbell, and Hollywood actress Tilda Swinton. MC Yoo Jae-seok said, "World-class stars fell in love with Kim Young-jin's hanbok. Tilta Swingnyung walked around the streets of Itaewon wearing hanbok." In response, Kim Young-jin said, "During the filming, I wore different clothes and prepared an extra bag. I received a call saying that these clothes were cool. I bought them at full price. I did not sponsor them and received 100% of the cost." Regarding the reason, he said, "There are our singers who save up money one by one because they want to wear my hanbok. I am grateful to those people. I don't think I should discount it because of those people, so I accept it like an agak."
Kim Young-jin said that Naomi Campbell was also satisfied with the hanbok. Kim Young-jin said, "(Naomi Campbell) said she wanted to buy special Korean clothes and came to Korea after receiving a recommendation. I was busy that day and was somewhere else, but she left a nice message saying, 'Thank you for making good clothes. They're original.'" It aroused.
Kim Young-jin worked on not only BTS and Jung Ho-yeon, but also the hanbok worn by Kim Tae-ri in the drama 'Mr. Sunshine'. Regarding the hanbok worn by BTS, Kim Young-jin said, "(BTS) wore the 'night clothes' that scholars wear when studying while enjoying the arts and nature. (Scholars) are close to artists, so we expressed them to BTS in various ways." .
Regarding the hanbok worn by Kim Tae-ri in 'Mr. Sunshine', "Ae-shin (Kim Tae-ri's role in the play) is a girl from a wealthy noble family, isn't she? We made it by recreating old natural dyes that are no longer available. The colors do not stand out, but they contain Korean beauty. “I did it a lot. I think I made about 100 pairs of underwear,” he explained.
