“IU’s miracle” felt like heaven and earth in Hungary

Actor Park Seo-joon spoke about the 'miracle of IU' he felt while filming the movie 'Dream'.

Park Seo-joon, Kim Jong-soo, and Heo Jun-seok, the main characters of the movie 'Dream' (directed by Byung-hun Lee), appeared as guests on SBS Power FM (Seoul, Gyeonggi 107.7 MHz) '2 O'Clock Escape Cultwo Show', which aired on the afternoon of the 13th.

The movie 'Dream', starring Park Seo-joon, Kim Jong-soo, and Heo Jun-seok, is the story of Hong Dae (played by Park Seo-joon), a conceptless former soccer player, and So-min (played by IU), a passionless producer, who attempt an impossible dream together with a ragtag group of homeless national team players.

On the day of the broadcast, he said about 'Dream', "It is a work that has been released for the first time in three years. It is a work imbued with director Lee Byung-hun's unique tiki-taka. It is adapted from a true story with the theme of the Homeless World Cup, and has human and comedy elements. Family, "It's a movie that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Korean movies are having a hard time these days, so please come to the theater," he said.

Park Seo-joon worked with IU for the first time in 'Dream'. He introduced IU's role of Somin, saying, "I am a producer who captures the World Cup participation in videos from start to finish. It is a role that gives hope to many people." He added, "This is my first time acting. I've always been a fan."

Park Seo-joon talked about his feelings about working with IU. He said, "I had high expectations because she is an actress who has amazing acting skills. I was very inspired when I met her. I had fun filming it," and added, "'Dream' was IU's first movie, and 'Broker' came out first." "Dream' was filmed with great difficulty. The filming was halted and there were overseas locations as well. After many twists and turns, it was released," he explained.

Kim Jong-soo also worked with IU before. Kim Jong-su added his strength, saying, "I did the drama 'Producers' with him, but we didn't meet each other in any scenes. He's very good at acting with great detail. I was happy because he brightened the atmosphere." Additionally, Kim Jong-soo appeared in the drama 'Snowdrop' with girl group Blackpink member Jisoo. Kim Jong-su made people laugh by saying, “When I filmed a drama with Blackpink Jisoo, my number of followers increased. But when I posted my own photo, my number of followers decreased.”

Park Seo-joon said, "Isn't there a difference between being good at exercise and liking it? I like exercise. I like exercise, but I only imitate it." Park Seo-joon's height is 185 cm. He said his height was achieved with the help of his father. Park Seo-joon explained, "When I was young, my father made me jump rope a lot. I think that helped me a lot. I did it a lot. For three years, I did 10 laps of the playground every morning and jumped rope 2,000 times."

He also said, "When I think about it now, I think my father took my younger brother and me because he wanted to exercise. Thanks to that, I was always first in the gym until my third year of high school." Kim Jong-su said, “When I was filming, I saw that (Park Seo-joon’s) thighs were really like those of a soccer player.”

Park Seo-joon, Kim Jong-soo, and Heo Jun-seok filmed 'Dream' in Budapest, Hungary. Park Seo-joon expressed his feelings about experiencing IU's miracle. He said, "IU came after me because she had a schedule. Since there were a lot of soccer games to film, we went to the front line and filmed them."

Park Seo-joon explained, "The first time I went to Budapest, it was cold. There was an ice rink in front of the filming location. It was so cold. We had to film in the morning, but as soon as IU came back from Korea, the weather became so warm that it was as if heaven and earth had changed."

Kim Jong-su said, “It was IU’s miracle.” Park Seo-joon said, "I told you that you absolutely have to bring padding. But as soon as IU arrived, it got warmer. Since then, we haven't been affected by the weather. We also had an amazing experience. We stayed in Budapest for about a month. We ate three meals a day and had a local food truck. “We ate the same thing. Korean food is too expensive when you go abroad,” he said.

Lastly, Heo Jun-seok said, "Our movie will be released on April 26th. We prepared for a long time and had fun filming it. It contains laughter, emotion, and humanity. I would appreciate it if you come to the theater and check it out." Kim Jong-su said, “I hope that when you come to the theater, you will feel refreshed, bright, positive, and energized by the movie. Please give it a lot of love.” Park Seo-joon said, "You told me everything before. Please help me. Please help me."

Meanwhile, 'Dream' starring Park Seo-joon, Kim Jong-soo, and Heo Jun-seok will be released on the 26th.
