Teamwork criticized, last place Ivan ‘tears’

MBC's 'Boys' Fantasy' second semester contest stage was revealed for the first time.

In the global boy group audition 'Boys Fantasy' broadcast on the 13th, the participants' first competition stage was revealed. On this day's broadcast, the visual mission for the second semester, in which 2PM's Wooyoung served as the main producer, was revealed, and participants chose their desired stage concept costume based on the visual ranking they selected. The second semester mission, which is held as an individual competition, provides 2,000 benefit points to the first place winner from each team.

The first team revealed, 'The Stealer', consisted of Kim Wooseok, Kim Kyuhyun, Ling Chi, Bok Daniel, Moon Hyukjun, Ivan, and Jung Deun Haesol. The participants, who drew cheers from the audience with their charismatic uniform concept, highlighted their individual charms with eye-catching back tumbling and performances.

The producers who saw the performance said, “I want to praise each individual. However, it was a stage where individuals stood out more than the team,” he said, adding that he was criticized for his lack of teamwork. Amid harsh criticism, Ling Chi took first place in the on-site voting and Ivan came in seventh place, causing tears to be shed.

Next, the 'Soriman' team consisting of Soul, Park Min-geun, Jin Myung-je, Nam Seung-hyun, Kim Beom-jun, Kim Seung-jun, and Geum Jin-ho was revealed. Participants showed off their stable rapping and vocal skills by using fans and wearing oriental-style outfits. In addition, the performance was as powerful as the original song, heating up the atmosphere at the scene as well as other participants who were watching in the waiting room.

After the stage was over, the producers did not hold back in their praise, saying things like, “Participant Jin Myeong-je left a strong impression with her own character,” “I want to applaud Geum Jin-ho’s ability to digest the part,” and “I wanted to see a stage like this, but I feel refreshed.” It was surprising that Soul and Geum Jin-ho tied for first place.
