Yoo Seung-ho became a classmate kidnapper

Yoo Seung-ho makes a comeback with the wave drama 'Deal' two years after the drama 'Think of the Moon When Flowers Bloom'. As a former child actor, he stated that his reason for appearing was that he wanted to try 'raw acting'.

On the 25th, domestic OTT platform Wave held the '2023 Wave Content Lineup Briefing' at the Conrad Seoul Hotel. Contents such as the entertainment show 'Blood Game 2', the original dramas 'Park Ha-kyung's Travels' and 'Deal', and the original movies 'Deadman' and 'Brave Citizen' were introduced.

'Deal', scheduled to be released in the second half of this year, is a crime thriller drama about the 'billion-won kidnapping' of two young men in their 20s who accidentally kidnapped their classmate. It is based on a webtoon of the same name, and actors Yoo Seung-ho, Kim Dong-hwi, and Yoo Soo-bin play the main roles. Directed by director Lee Jeong-gon, who won three awards at the 22nd Jeonju International Film Festival with the movie 'Not Out'.

Yoo Seung-ho plays the role of Lee Jun-seong, a young man who received attention as a promising soccer player in high school, but wandered after his dreams were shattered. Kim Dong-hwi plays Song Jae-hyo, a medical student who is the instigator of the kidnapping incident. Yoo Soo-bin played Park Min-woo, the only son of a rich family who became the victim of a billion-won kidnapping.

Yoo Seung-ho said, “The material was unique. The script was fun. The second was the character. Someday, I wanted to play a raw character like this. That was this work. The third was the director. After watching 'Not Out', I thought the director's color and feel would fit well with 'Deal'. I can't forget the director's smile when I first saw it. “It put my mind at ease and I was confident that I could rely on him,” he said, explaining his reason for appearing.

The actors boasted a friendly atmosphere on set. Yoo Seung-ho said, “We met as actors and directors on set, but when the sound of ‘cut’ was heard, our positions changed to friends. “We got along so well and everyone was close,” he said. He continued, “I was wondering who would be the most comfortable. Because if you're kidnapped, aren't you tied to a chair? But when I filmed it, it was different. The psychological pressure seemed severe. “I was sorry about that, but Yoo Soo-bin made it up to me with a lot of laughter,” he said. Subin Yoo said, “I learned how good it is to have free hands and feet. “The two friends gave me water, gave me a fan, and even massaged my hands and feet,” he joked.

When asked what part of her acting she focused on, Yoo Soo-bin said, “It’s a situation where I’m being kidnapped by friends, not strangers. When I went to the scene and saw the two people, something was a little more difficult. “Because we are friends, there were possible variables, so I focused on them,” he said.

As a point to watch, Yoo Soo-bin said, “It contains the stories of youth in their 20s, and it is a story that young people can relate to.” Kim Dong-hwi said, “I think people will watch ‘Deal’ out of curiosity about a friend kidnapping a friend. That curiosity will lead to suction like a snowball. “Please look at that as a point of expectation,” he said. Yoo Seung-ho said, “I think the material is the biggest point. You might be curious just because you kidnapped a classmate. There will be various events coming out of it. “More than anything, the fact that two actors appear is a reason to watch this drama,” he emphasized.
