‘Gathering of Stars’ 59th Baeksang Arts Awards Awards Ceremony
Actors Uhm Jeong-hwa, Kim Tae-ri, Lee Jun-ho, Lee Je-hoon, and director Ryu Seung-wan will appear at the '59th Baeksang Arts Awards.'

According to the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards secretariat on the 27th, stars who were honored with awards last year and stars seeking nominations next year will all gather on the stage of the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards. Despite his busy schedule, he willingly made time to present the award.

Director Ryu Seung-wan, who won the grand prize in the film category last year, is busy filming 'Veteran 2' and preparing for the release of his new film 'Smuggler', but he returns to the Baeksang Awards after a year. He will serve as the grand prize presenter in the film category and will congratulate and encourage his peers and seniors and juniors in the film industry.

Lee Jun-ho and Kim Tae-ri, who won the Best Actor Award in the TV category at the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards, are reunited this time. The two people who focused on preparing new works after 'Red Sleeves' and 'Twenty-Five, Twenty-One', respectively, appear in front of fans side by side. Sol Kyung-gu and Lee Hye-young, who won the best acting award in the movie category, are expected to boast a strong presence. Two actors representing the film industry stand together and create a look that can only be seen at Baeksang.

Jo Hyeon-cheol and Kim Shin-rok, who won the Supporting Actor Award in the TV category, also took a step forward. Kim Shin-rok is attracting even more attention as he is also nominated for the Supporting Actor Award this year. Winners in the film category, Jo Woo-jin and Lee Soo-kyung, will also appear on the awards stage. Jo Woo-jin, last year's winner in the film category, was nominated in the TV category this year. Winners of the 58th Rookie Actor Awards will also be in attendance. The main characters are Koo Kyo-hwan and Kim Hye-jun in the TV division and Lee Hong-nae and Lee Yu-mi in the film division. The four actors, who have become more active after winning the trophy last year, will return to the stage after a year to deliver the honor of the once-in-a-lifetime Rookie Actor Award.

In the theater category, which is an essential part of the Baeksang Awards, last year's acting award winners Park Wan-gyu and Hwang Soon-mi will serve as presenters. Winners of the 58th Entertainment Awards Lee Yong-jin and Joo Hyun-young will also take time out of their busy schedules to present the awards. Among the candidates for whom there will be no disagreement, attention is focused on whose name the two will call. Joo Hyun-young was once again nominated for the Best Female Entertainment Award at the Baeksang Awards, and was also nominated for the Best New Actress Award in the TV category.

The appearance of stars who will visit the Baeksang Awards as award presenters this year and as candidates next year is also a point to watch. Uhm Jung-hwa is the protagonist of the surprising rise in viewership ratings. She shows off her lovely charm in JTBC's 'Doctor Cha Jeong-sook' and goes out to the awards ceremony wearing a fancy dress. We are looking forward to seeing Uhm Jung-hwa, a shining star, who is quite different from the friendly and easy-going character of Cha Jeong-sook in the drama.

The meeting of two actors, Lee Je-hoon and Heo Gwang-han, who are representative of the nation's first loves, is also a highlight of this year's Baeksang that cannot be missed. The two will work together as award presenters. Just looking at the two people is expected to make them happy. ENA 'Look! Yoo In-na and Yoon Hyun-min, who co-star in ‘Deborah’, also make time. Yoo In-na, who plays Deborah, a love coach, and Hyun-min Yoon, who plays a love book publisher, bring their sweet chemistry from the drama to the Baeksang stage.

Kim Byeong-cheol and Lee Moo-saeng also happily gather to present the award. Attention is being paid to the chemistry between Kim Byeong-cheol, who is playing the character of a husband you can never hate in 'Doctor Cha Jeong-sook', and Lee Moo-saeng, who is busy filming as the main character in the drama 'Maestra'. Park Shin-hye and Park Hyeong-sik, who are working together in JTBC's 'Doctor Slump' 10 years after 'The Heirs', also come on the Baeksang stage and give a warm greeting. Expectations are high for the romantic comedy that will be shown in the new drama. Park Ji-ah, who left a strong impression playing Jeong Mi-hee, Moon Dong-eun's mother in Netflix's 'The Glory', will specifically attend the Baeksang Theater Awards as an award presenter.

The 59th Baeksang Arts Awards is open to content provided on terrestrial broadcasting, general programming, cable, OTT, and the web from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023, or works released domestically during the same period. The Baeksang Arts Awards, Korea's only pop culture comprehensive arts awards ceremony encompassing TV, film, and theater, will be broadcast live on JTBC, JTBC2, and JTBC4 from 5:30 p.m. on April 28.
