Choo Sung-hoon becomes a ‘physical uncle’ and makes a special appearance on ‘Family’
'Family' is a thrilling family-oriented espionage comedy about a husband who is a black agent of the National Intelligence Service who disguises his identity as an ordinary office worker and his sweet and bitter wife who dreams of a perfect family.
On the 1st, 'Family' announced a special appearance by Choo Sung-hoon and showed off stills from the scene. In the still, Choo Sung-hoon is fighting bare-chested with NIS black agent Jang Hyuk (played by Kwon Do-hoon) on a bus. Choo Sung-hoon's cold-blooded aura, holding a weapon in one hand and shining cold eyes that show no mercy, overwhelms those around him. Jang Hyuk also tensely confronts him without slowing down, adding to the tension. The sight of Choo Sung-hoon brandishing a weapon in a narrow bus and Jang Hyuk in danger makes me sweaty just by looking at the photo.
In the following still, Choo Seong-hoon is pointing a gun at Jang Hyuk. Choo Seong-hoon's determined expression, as if he were going to pull the trigger at any moment, creates an immediate sense of tension. As a result, curiosity is rising about the identity of Choo Seong-hoon, who constantly threatens Jang Hyuk's life.
It is said that Choo Seong-hoon ignited his passion by meticulously coordinating the action with Jang Hyuk before filming, and when filming began, he erased all smiles and showed his cold-blooded appearance, making even the on-site staff nervous. As Jang Hyuk has high-level Jeet Kune Do and boxing skills with Choo Seong-hoon, he is said to have repeatedly impressed people with his realistic action chemistry that makes full use of the fighting space and physicality.
The production team of ‘Family’ said, “We are happy that the meeting between Choo Sung-hoon, the best in martial arts, and Jang Hyuk, the best in action acting, has come to fruition. “I am sincerely grateful to Choo Seong-hoon for accepting the offer to make a special appearance,” he said. “The duel scene between Choo Seong-hoon and Jang Hyuk was so thrilling that it was reminiscent of a real ring. “All the on-site staff held their breath and were immersed in Park Bing’s real action,” he said.
