Jeong Mi-ae, a Grand Slam contestant from Korea's best and longest-running entertainment program 'National Singing Contest', is raising expectations by announcing her first performance as a guest singer.

KBS1TV's 'National Singing Contest' (directed by Kwon Young-tae, Won Jong-jae, Moon Seong-hoon, and Ko Se-jun) is the origin of the public participation audition program that has remained unchanged for 43 years every Sunday and is the best entertainment program in Korea.

The 2021st episode of 'National Singing Contest', which will be broadcast on May 7th, is 'Jinan-gun, Jeollabuk-do', and a total of 15 teams of citizens will participate and have fun on a special stage in front of Jinan History Museum. In particular, expectations are raised as Jeong Mi-ae, who has a meaningful relationship with 'National Singing Contest', will appear as a guest singer on this stage. Mi-ae Jeong appeared as a contestant in 2005 and achieved a grand slam, winning the regional grand prize, the grand prize in the first half finals, and the grand prize at the end of the year. Attention is focused on the fact that they will return to the 'National Singing Contest', the hometown of their hearts, for the first time in 18 years and present a meaningful stage. In addition, Min-ho Jang, Chae-yoon, Hyun Kim, and Sang-cheol Park are also said to have appeared as guest singers and added to the excitement of the contest, raising expectations even further.

In addition, 'Jinan-gun, Jeollabuk-do' is drawing attention as it is said that there will be a line-up of performances by members transcending age. From 'Today is a Young Day' by a 9-year-old elementary school student to 'Prince of the Sea' by a 61-year-old ginseng farmer, and 'Sweet Song of Memories' by a 73-year-old farmer , a large number of participants passionate regardless of age filled the stage. Since it is a back door, expectations are high.

Accordingly, the 'National Singing Contest' production team said, "Jung Mi-ae will appear as a guest singer in this week's 'Gyeongsangbuk-do Goryeong-gun edition' and will heat up the competition even more by showing her special affection and loyalty. “We will bring a lot of laughter and joy to your home with a passionate stage by top-notch invited singers and 15 teams of citizens from Jinan-gun, Jeollabuk-do, so please look forward to it.”
