Phillip Ryu points out ‘old song’ to Hyori Lee’s Ten Minutes

KBS 2TV's family travel variety show 'Walking Into the Dream' (hereinafter referred to as 'Walking into the Dream') features the travel story of Mina and Ryu Philip, a 17-year-older-younger couple who have been married for 6 years.
In the 17th episode of 'Girl's Dream', which will be aired on the 14th, Mina and Philip Ryu have a conflict over the generation gap and each other's tastes as they are 17 years younger than him. Mina said, “I may be old, but I like tiki-taka,” and while she showed off her strong affectionate relationship with her husband without hesitation, she also confessed, “These days, I’m a little disobedient, like a frog-like adolescent son.”
Phillip Ryu surprised everyone by making a bombshell statement, saying, “What I thought was an advantage is now being felt as a disadvantage.” Phillip Ryu complained, “My wife says only what she said was right and everything I said was wrong.” When Mina strongly refuted his words by mentioning her age, saying, “How do you know how long your husband has lived?” Kim Seung-hyun eventually sharply pointed out, “Mina, that’s old-fashioned,” making the studio burst into laughter.
The conflict between Mina and Philip Ryu due to the generation gap deepened during the family trip. While Mina was listening to Hyori Lee's '10 Minutes' and reminiscing about her debut days, Phillip Ryu pointed out that it was a 'too old song'. Mina then asked, “How old was my wife when I was in my early 30s?” Phillip Ryu said, “15 years old. “When I was in middle school,” the two responded, once again being hit hard by the generational gap that has not been narrowed.
However, Mina repeatedly listened to the nostalgic singer Fire Truck's song and elicited a positive response from Phillip Ryu. In the end, Phillip Ryu, who had been listening quietly, exploded the anger he had been holding in, saying, “Honey, stop talking about old times.” Philip Ryu drew a line against his wife's tireless reminiscing, saying, "We can't communicate." However, Mina ignited a war of nerves by demanding sympathy from her husband, saying, “Just listen to me.”
In addition, Philip Ryu said, “Thanks to my wife, I quit drinking.” He added, “I guess I feel nostalgia when I listen to old songs. He confessed his true feelings, saying, "I couldn't empathize with him holding me up all the time and talking about old times, so I felt sorry (for my young age) later on."
The unresolved generation gap between Mina and Philip Ryu, who is 17 years older than the younger generation, can be seen on the main broadcast of 'Girl Fantastic' at 9:25 pm on the 14th.
