Director Choi Sang-yeol was surprised by Kim So-hye's venom.

On the afternoon of the 21st, at The Saint, Guro-gu, Seoul, the press conference for the production of KBS2's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Pure Boxer' (played by Kim Min-joo, directed by Choi Sang-yeol and Hong Eun-mi) was held. Director Choi Sang-yeol, actors Lee Sang-yeop, Kim So-hye, Park Ji-hwan, Kim Hyung-mook, Kim Jin-woo, Ha Seung-ri, and Chae Won-bin attended the event.

On this day, director Choi said of Kim So-hye, "She has a cute image, but she's a strong person. At the first meeting, we didn't talk to each other, so we proceeded in a face-to-face manner. Then at the end, she said, 'I can work extremely hard even if I don't know anything else.' I left this one word behind, and it had a very strong impact. In fact, he showed sincerity until the end of the work."

"In the play, Kwon Sook wants to be in a relationship rather than boxing and wants to live a normal life. That's why I thought that a normal girl in her early 20s fits the character more than a rambunctious image. A girl in her 20s who likes cute things on the outside. However, Kim So-hye was a good fit for the role with a strong mind and fighting spirit.”

'Pure Boxer' is a match-fixing escape story between genius boxer Lee Kwon-sook (Kim So-hye) and cold-blooded agent Kim Tae-yeong (Lee Sang-yeop), who both risked their lives. It is a drama based on the novel 'Pure Boxer' by Choo Jong-nam, the second winner of the Kyobo Bookstore Story Contest. 'Pure Boxer' will premiere on the 21st at 9:45 pm.
