Season 2 of the Netflix series 'DP' will be released on July 28th.

On the 20th, Netflix reported this news. Season 2 of 'DP' is the story of Jun-ho (Jung Hae-in) and Ho-yeol (Koo Gyo-hwan), who are arrested for desertion from military duty, constantly encountering unchanging reality and absurdities.

'DP', which was released in August 2021, was well received and loved by viewers for its fresh subject matter of deserter arrest, the excellent performance of attractive characters and actors, and a story that sharply shed light on violence and absurdity in the military, which can be said to be a microcosm of society. Accordingly, it was selected as one of the top 10 best international TV shows of the 2021 New York Times, and won the Best Picture Award in the TV category at the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards and the Best Picture Award at the 1st Blue Dragon Series Awards in succession.

The released launch poster leads to the cookie scene that shocked everyone at the end of season 1. Kim Ru-ri, who was Cho Seok-bong's friend, reads Seok-bong's news on the news and shoots at the seniors who harass her. Absurdity and tragedy were a daily occurrence not only for Cho Seok-bong, but also for someone else.

Season 2 begins again in a reality where nothing has changed even though a lot has happened. Jung Hae-in, who is returning to the role of Ahn Joon-ho, said, "It's a work that continues with season 1. There are still unfinished stories and parts to be resolved, so you'll be able to see a more dense and deeper story." This stimulates curiosity about the unfinished story of the DP group of the 103rd division of the military police.
