"Expected 30% first week viewer ratings"... Confidence in 'The Devil', written by Kim Eun-hee and featuring Kim Tae-ri and Oh Jeong-se

On the afternoon of the 23rd, a press conference for the production of SBS' new Friday-Saturday drama 'Ghost' was held at the SBS building in Mok-dong, Seoul. Director Lee Jung-rim and actors Kim Tae-ri, Oh Jeong-se, and Hong Kyung attended the event.
'Ghost' is a work that tells the story of San-young (Kim Tae-ri), a poor young man who is obsessed with evil spirits, and Hae-hae (Oh Jeong-se), a folklorist who can see evil spirits, and the mysterious death. Star writer Kim Eun-hee, who wrote 'Sign', 'Ghost', 'Signal', and 'Kingdom', and director Lee Jeong-rim, who showed a sense of detail in 'VIP', teamed up.

When asked about the level of fear, Director Lee said, "I tried to show the maximum that a 15-year-old audience can do. I think there were some things that made me more stimulating because I got used to being scared while filming. When it's over, you'll think it's okay."

When asked how he felt when he first received the script, Kim Tae-ri said, "I remember listening to the writer's explanation more than when I first received the script. I felt that the material was so fresh. It deals with folklore, how many ghosts and stories there must be in our country. Even if you think about it like that, it seems that there will be an infinite number of episodes. It was interesting to melt the keyword of youth here."
Regarding the difference between writer Kim Eun-hee's script, she was satisfied, saying, "I felt that the story was full. It was structurally perfect. As an actor, I was happy to receive such a script."
Kim Tae-ri, who is challenging her first genre through 'Ghost', said, "It was the most difficult to play two characters with one face rather than the burden of genre. Since San-young started acting first, it was difficult to play the devil in a situation that was heavily biased toward San-young." He said, "The solution was to try to focus on the situation whenever I played each character. I thought to focus only on one character, and as a result, some answers came out. Internally, Sanyoung was wondering what kind of character this child was originally. What kind of desire did he have? I asked myself such a question.”

Oh Jeong-se said, "When I read the script from Hae-sang's point of view, the process of finding the demon felt like walking in a fog, but when the fog cleared, the space and props I passed through seemed fresh because it seemed to be a work created as a narrative of a terrifying story."
When asked about the breathing of the three, Kim Tae-ri said, "It was very good." Oh Jeong-se said, “I received a lot of help,” and Hong Kyung thanked him, saying, “I relied on him a lot.”

When asked about the expected viewership rating, Kim Tae-ri said, "20% for episodes 1 and 2". Oh Jeong-se helped by saying, “15% for the first episode, 15% for the second episode, so it’s 30%.”
Regarding the point of observation, director Lee confidently said, “I think it can be explained just by the fact that writer Kim Eun-hee wrote it and the three actors appeared.” Kim Tae-ri emphasized, “I think the occult genre is getting used to, but there seems to be a new part in oriental occult. Oh Jeong-se asked for attention, saying, "I wonder if it will permeate if I look at it."
'Ghost' will be broadcast for the first time at 10 pm on the 23rd.
