Disney+'s 'The Detective' is back with Season 2. Previously, 'Detective Records Season 1' was praised as an 'ending restaurant' by viewers. 'Detective Records Season 2' still showed a strong aspect of keeping the name of 'Ending Restaurant'.

'Criminal Record 2', which returned after about 9 months after the end of last November, heralded an expanded world view than the previous one. Disney+ revealed that if 'Detective Record Season 1' was focused on finding a 'friend' of an unidentified blackmailer, 'Season 2' will show an expanded story of chasing the forces behind it.

Director Han Dong-hwa, who was in charge of directing this season following 'Detective Records 1', said, "'Detective Records 2' is a story about digging into hidden mysteries. The more detailed story will make you feel like peeling an onion." As mentioned, 'Detective Records 2' shows a more extended suspense.

Season 2 is set after 1 year and 6 months after the chase incident with an unknown blackmailer. 'Taek-rok' (Lee Seong-min), who has been cleared of the murder suspect but has returned to the female youth group (hereafter referred to as 'Yeocheong-gye'), not the homicide group, launches a final counterattack to catch the person behind all the incidents ahead of retirement.

As Lee Sung-min mentioned at the press preview on the 3rd, "This season, Taekrok has returned as a detective who uses his 'head' rather than 'body'" and that it will be a 'spy drama rather than an action genre'. ' from the beginning, there is an intense tension that makes it impossible to distinguish whether all the characters are 'enemies' or 'friends'.

Many new characters also appear. Among them, 'Yeon Joo-hyun', played by Kim Shin-rok, an actor who worked with Lee Seong-min as a father and daughter in JTBC's 'Maknae Son of a Chaebol House', draws attention. Yeon Yeon-hyeon is a newly appointed team leader in the Geum-O-Seo-Yeocheong faction, and is an unknown person. Kim Shin-rok gives the play a sense of tension with his unique restrained acting.

The appearance of retired cop Choi Do-hyung (Jung Jin-young), an old colleague of 'Taek-rok', also heightens tension. Just as director Han Dong-hwa said, "We needed an actor with 'restrained' acting like Shin-Rok Kim and Jin-Young Jung," with the introduction of a new character, 'Criminal Record 2' could be completed as a 'dry' and 'dry' thriller.

After revealing the identity of 'friend' in season 1, it may be a somewhat predictable development that season 2 pursues the forces behind it, but 'detective record 2' introduces new characters such as Shin-rok Kim, Jin-young Jeong, Jin-mo Joo, and Hae-kyun Jeong, so that this time as well. It kept the value of the name of 'Ending Restaurant'.
