On the 6th, while the Netflix '19/20' production briefing was held at I'Park Mall CGV in Yongsan, Seoul, Kyuhyun, Kim Jieun, Lee Soohyun, Jeong Sewoon, Kim Jaewon PD, Kim Jeonghyun PD, and Park Sooji PD attended.
Netflix's '19/20' is a youth reality entertainment show that records the special moments of growth of Gen Z, who are still clumsy and fresh, between the last week of nineteen and the first week of twenty.
'19/20' is the work of PD Kim Jae-won, who directed Netflix's 'Solo Hell' 1 and 2. PD Kim Jae-won expressed his satisfaction, saying, "I am satisfied with the combination of the cast members. I thought he was an outstanding MC while doing 'Solo Hell', but I am happy to be with him this time."
He continued, “Isn’t Kim Ji-eun an MC for Inkigayo that the performers will enjoy? She is an MC that anyone would like. I think he is an MC. Actually, I chose Jeong Sewoon because I thought he was an MC with a similar resolution to these friends, but he had more experience than I thought.”

Lee Soo-hyun said, "I was very worried because I had never done a love reality show before. I was worried that I would over-immerse myself, but when the program offer came in, I said, 'Wearing a school uniform?' So I was envious but wanted to see it. I've never worn a school uniform before," he said.
Kim Ji-eun said, "It was an honor. I wanted to participate as a dating panel, but I was grateful that he made the suggestion first. And I can watch this program faster than anyone else."

When asked about the difference from Solo Hell, PD Kim Jae-won replied, "'Solo Hell' was filmed in summer, so it's hot and shows the skillful romance of adults. Nineteen Twenty was filmed in winter, and it's a story of fresh youth growing up, so there's a big difference." .
Kyuhyun said, "I reflected on the cast. I reflected on myself and was envious when I saw young people who were fresh and clumsy, unlike me, who was soiled by the world and grew old." When asked about the difference from 'Solo Hell', where he was the MC, he explained, "It's a completely different program. Everyone has times when they were 19 or 20. It's a program that evokes complex emotions that immerse you in memories again."
Kim Ji-eun said, "I'm an actor, so I don't know the ending of dramas and movies. It was fun because the 19-20s were 'suddenly like this?'

Producer Kim Jae-won, who directed '19/20' following seasons 1 and 2 of 'Solo Hell', said, "It's the story of a 2004 boy who spends the last week of his teens and the first week of his 20s. In fact, the law has changed, so now you don't age at the same time. Wasn’t it? It can be said that it is the last generation where everyone becomes an adult before the law changes.”
There are also special rules unique to '19/20'. Kyuhyun said, "(The cast members) took classes directly inside the school as if they were really going to school. There is one special and only rule. 'No dating'. You can do anything else, but you shouldn't be dating." " he shuddered.

In many dating programs, controversy over the 'past' or 'personality' of ordinary performers arose. Likewise, in the process of recruiting non-celebrity performers, the production team must have had a burden on them. When asked if there was a standard for selecting regular performers, PD Park Soo-ji said, "As soon as the application announcement was made, more than 1,000 people applied. I did. There are friends with various dreams such as table tennis players and flight attendants.”
When asked if there was any concern about the 'past' controversy of ordinary performers, PD Kim Jae-won said, "I'm trying to verify it carefully. Through a psychiatric counseling expert, I also asked whether non-performers 'have the mentality to film this program' and recorded their life records. I also confirmed it. I met my acquaintances and parents and checked the references of 'what kind of person this friend is', so I think it will be okay, but in the future, I constantly consulted and edited carefully so that my friends did not get hurt."
To be released on the 11th.
