Xdinary Heroes Discuss Their Unique Approach to Mainstream Music
The band Xdinary Heroes (consisting of Gunil, Jungsu, Gaon, O.de, Jun Han, and Jooyeon) recently held an interview at a café in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, to commemorate the release of their 8th mini-album, 'DEAD AND'.
Known for releasing songs across various genres, earning them the nickname 'melting pot of genres', Xdinary Heroes have predominantly showcased intense soundtracks. In an era where easy listening dominates, the band naturally contemplated their mainstream appeal.
After much deliberation, the members reached a conclusion. Jooyeon stated, "Many people define mainstream as what a lot of people like. If many people come to like our music, then it becomes mainstream. We aim to make our music mainstream with Xdinary Heroes' unique color."
Finally, Jooyeon emphasized, "Confidence is crucial for a rocker. Regardless of what others say, you must pursue your vision, and that's the romance of it. We must always carry the confidence that 'our music is the best'. We are determined to make our music mainstream."
Xdinary Heroes are releasing their new mini-album 'DEAD AND' approximately six months after their previous work 'LXVE to DEATH', which expressed an extraordinary form of love. The new album includes the title track 'Voyager', along with 'X room', 'Helium Balloon', 'No Cool Kids Zone', 'Hurt So Good', 'Rise High Rise', and 'KTM', totaling seven tracks.
Xdinary Heroes' 8th mini-album 'DEAD AND' and the title track 'Voyager' will be released on the 17th at 1 PM.
