SHINee's Taemin Mesmerizes Coachella with New and Hit Songs Amid Sound Glitch
On April 12 (KST), Taemin took the stage at the 'Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival' in Indio, California. Performing on the Mojave Stage, he captivated the audience for 50 minutes starting at 11:30 AM.
The latter part of the performance focused on new songs. After changing from an all-white outfit to a yellow shirt and khaki-beige suit, Taemin delivered a series of new performances. Post the 'IDEA' band live segment, the stage was predominantly filled with new tracks. He unveiled a total of six new songs, heightening anticipation for his upcoming release.
The performance reaffirmed Taemin's strength in delivering powerful choreography. Despite his shirt being drenched in sweat, his live vocals remained stable. Notably, he showcased his vocal prowess with powerful ad-libs during the latter part of 'Guilty'. In 'Advice' and some new songs, he utilized a grand piano to enhance the stage's depth.
Taemin is the first Korean male solo artist to be officially listed in Coachella's lineup and perform a solo stage. Filling the stage with performances rather than words, Taemin expressed, "I've been waiting for this moment. I'm glad to share it with you."
Taemin is set to perform again at Coachella on the 18th. This year's Coachella features a significant presence of K-pop artists, including Taemin, Cats Eye, and Big Bang.
