DAY6's Wonpil Expresses Deep Affection for the Band in Solo Album Interview
DAY6's Wonpil recently expressed his deep affection for the band during an interview celebrating the release of his first solo mini-album, 'Unpiltered,' held at a cafe in Gangnam, Seoul.

DAY6 made a comeback in April 2024 with 'Forever Young' after completing their military hiatus. The release was well-received, climbing the music charts and capturing the hearts of fans. Reflecting on this, Wonpil shared, "The 'Forever Young' album includes 'Welcome to the Show' and 'Happy.' We wanted to return with songs that would encourage sing-alongs, hoping everyone would welcome us back warmly."

Wonpil explained, "I always work on songs with a specific theme in mind. With this solo album, I wanted to show that I'm not just limited to what I've done before. That was the key point."

DAY6 celebrated their 10th anniversary last year. When asked about the future of DAY6 at their 15th and 20th anniversaries, Wonpil humorously remarked, "We've imagined it a lot. We've joked about performing in wheelchairs with IV drips, meaning we want to make music together for a long time. I'm excited for our 15th and 20th anniversaries. I wonder what kind of music we'll be making then. I hope it's trendy and fitting for our age."

'Unpiltered' is Wonpil's first mini-album in about four years, following his solo debut album 'Pilmography' in February 2022. The new release focuses on capturing his true self. The title track 'Love Ward' explores the complex emotions within him under the guise of 'love,' with a dramatic auditory progression that enhances engagement. Known for his delicate expression, Wonpil contributed to the credits of all tracks on the album, including 'Love Ward.'

Wonpil's first mini-album 'Unpiltered' and the title track 'Love Ward' will be released on the 30th at 6 PM.
