On the 21st, BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) held the 'BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG' event at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul.
Leader RM announced his injury a day before the comeback live performance. BigHit Music, BTS's agency, stated, "On the 19th, RM sustained an ankle injury during rehearsal and was taken to the hospital for a detailed examination and treatment. The diagnosis revealed a 'navicular bone sprain and partial ligament tear with talus contusion (ligament damage and inflammation).' Medical advice recommended that he minimize movement for at least two weeks while focusing on recovery."
As a result, RM performed while seated and did not participate in the dance formations. However, he stood up whenever possible to interact with fans. During sections without intense choreography, he moved around the stage to engage with the audience and stood up to express his gratitude.
BTS released their 5th studio album 'ARIRANG' on the afternoon of the 20th. This marks their first new album in 3 years and 9 months since June 2022. The album, produced by Chairman Bang Si-hyuk, includes 14 tracks, featuring the title song 'SWIM.' The album encapsulates BTS's genuine experiences and reflections from their journey. Starting next month, BTS will embark on a world tour, performing 82 shows across 34 cities, beginning at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium.
