K-Pop Icon Lee Sun-hee Set for Comeback Amidst Legal Controversies
Renowned South Korean vocalist Lee Sun-hee is set to release a new song in the first half of this year. Known for her unique vocal prowess and deep emotional resonance, Lee's return is eagerly anticipated in the music industry.

According to Chorokbaem Entertainment on the 13th, Lee Sun-hee is in the final stages of preparation for her comeback. This marks her first new release since the 2022 duet 'Promise Not to Lose' with YB, heightening expectations.

Previously, in September 2023, Lee faced charges for allegedly misusing corporate funds from her private company, One Entertainment, for personal use and allowing her family to use them for non-business purposes. The court issued a summary order for a fine against her.

Earlier in May 2023, she was investigated for allegedly embezzling funds from her former agency, Hook Entertainment. Accusations included registering a fake employee to siphon company funds, but Lee's side refuted these claims, stating she was not directly involved in management. The case was ultimately dismissed with no charges.

On July 29, 2024, Lee Sun-hee officially stated, "I was investigated regarding various allegations related to Hook Entertainment last year. While other issues were cleared, I could not prove that some corporate card expenses from One Entertainment between 2011 and 2022 were for business purposes." She added, "I accept the fine with a reflective attitude."

She further expressed, "As a singer, I should have managed every detail meticulously, but I realized my shortcomings due to ignorance and have reflected on them." She also apologized to her fans, saying, "I am sorry for disappointing those who gained strength from my music. I will focus solely on my role as a singer and live without shame in the future."
