DAY6's Wonpil to Release Solo Album 'Unpiltered' and Host Concert in May

Wonpil of the band DAY6 is set to release his solo album in March, followed by a solo concert in May.

On March 30, Wonpil will release his first mini-album 'Unpiltered' and reconnect with his fans. JYP Entertainment shared the schedule and teaser plan on DAY6's official social media channels on the 10th.

According to the schedule, fans can expect a concept film on the 11th, a tracklist on the 13th, concept photos from the 16th to the 18th, an 'Unpiltered Record' teaser on the 19th, 'Unpiltered Record' content from the 20th to the 29th, a track manual on the 23rd, a listening pop-up event called 'Unpiltered Layer' from the 27th to the 29th, and a music video teaser from the 28th to the 29th.

Building on the excitement, Wonpil will host a solo concert titled 'WONPIL SOLO CONCERT 'Unpiltered'' from May 1st to 3rd. This marks his first solo performance in approximately four years and two months since his debut solo concert 'Pilmography' in March 2022, much to the delight of his fans. Further details about the concert will be released in due course.

Wonpil kicked off the album's teaser campaign with a concept film released at midnight on the 11th. The video begins with Wonpil adjusting a camera. Initially trying to capture a perfect smile, he soon starts shooting freely, capturing a range of expressions from thoughtful frowns to natural smiles. The film concludes with Wonpil discovering a Polaroid of himself in a glass box, leading to an emotional release as he confronts his tears. The concept film, with its blend of Wonpil's nuanced emotional expression and dramatic scenes, leaves a lasting impression.

'Unpiltered' is Wonpil's first solo album since his debut full-length album 'Pilmography' in February 2022. Since his debut in September 2015, Wonpil has established himself as a talented singer-songwriter, consistently contributing to DAY6's hits with his songwriting and composing skills. Fans eagerly anticipate the musical stories he will share in this new release.

Wonpil's mini-album 'Unpiltered' will be officially released on March 30 at 6 PM.
