Amudda Band revealed why they chose not to recruit a professional singer as a guest vocalist.

On the 12th, Amudda Band held a debut media showcase at SA Hall in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

The band consists of Hong Kyung-min (leader & bass), Jo Young-soo (keyboard), Cha Tae-hyun (guest & vocals), Jeon In-hyuk (guitar), Kim Jun-hyun (drums), and Jo Jung-min (piano). They recently won the final victory in the KBS 2TV 'Immortal Songs' New Year Special 2026 Actor Edition.

Guest vocalist Cha Tae-hyun hinted, "We have a secret weapon." Hong Kyung-min added, "He hasn't participated in the single yet. He's good at boxing," teasing Jang Hyuk as the next guest vocalist.

Jeon In-hyuk, who was a vocalist during his Yada days, expressed no regrets about not taking the vocal position. He explained, "We are a band where everyone plays and sings, and everyone is the main character. Cha Tae-hyun's vocal skills are excellent. His voice has a youthful charm that our members couldn't express. Cha Tae-hyun was the perfect fit."

Hong Kyung-min stated, "If an outstanding vocalist joins, other members might be overshadowed. Right now, we have the perfect office band vibe. Even if Cha Tae-hyun is busy and can't join the next single, it would be great to have someone who loves singing rather than a professional singer. It doesn't have to be an actor. That would be more meaningful."

Kim Jun-hyun added, "It was challenging to find a vocalist. If a singer joins, we might lose our unique color and the office band feel. We'll continue using the 'friend chance' for vocalists. The first friend chance is Cha Tae-hyun. Moon Se-yoon is waiting as the next guest vocalist. It's all about the friend chance. It's not 'Do you want to try?' but 'You're next.'" Hong Kyung-min humorously added, "For those reading the article, contact us if there's a spot in August."

'You Know' is a stadium pop and rock genre serenade about the desire to express love even if it means running breathlessly, and the sincerity that doesn't stop despite the unknown end. Composer Jo Young-soo worked on the song, and Amudda Band members participated in the lyrics. The song features Cha Tae-hyun's clear vocals, with each member adding their voice to a line.

Amudda Band's first digital single 'You Know' will be released on the 13th at 6 PM.
