Min Hee-jin, former CEO of ADOR, has officially launched her independent label, OOAK Records, unveiling her profile and teaser content. During a recent press conference, she addressed sensitive issues related to the families of NewJeans members, sparking criticism for what some have called 'aggressive remarks towards families' and 'disclosure of private information.' This has drawn significant attention to her future endeavors.

OOAK Records opened its official Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and website on the evening of the 3rd. A short teaser video was released through Min Hee-jin's personal Instagram and the label's channel. Notably, she revealed her profile picture ahead of the company's launch, capturing public interest. Meanwhile, at a press conference on the 28th of last month, Min Hee-jin denied the 'NewJeans tampering allegations' and stated her position. Her public mention of the families of NewJeans members during this process sparked controversy, leading to various criticisms regarding the appropriateness and tone of her remarks.

Min Hee-jin has been in a legal dispute with HYBE since 2024, resigning from her position as CEO of ADOR in November of the same year. She is awaiting a verdict on the 12th regarding a shareholder agreement with HYBE and the exercise of a put option worth approximately 26 billion KRW.

Previously, ADOR announced the return of NewJeans members Hae-rin, Hye-in, and Hani last year, and stated that discussions with Min-ji are ongoing. Recently, the top image on NewJeans' official SNS was changed from a group photo of the members to the group logo, and the profile picture was also updated to the official light stick image.

The legal battle continues. In addition to the contract dispute with HYBE, Min Hee-jin is also responding to a damages lawsuit filed by ADOR. Industry observers suggest that the outcome of these trials could impact the production structure and dynamics between labels in the K-pop market.
