HYBE America and Netflix Team Up with Alan Chikin Chow for New Pop Group Series
HYBE America is collaborating with world-renowned creator Alan Chikin Chow and Netflix to launch a new series that showcases the creation of a next-generation pop group based on HYBE's K-pop methodology.

On the 20th, HYBE America announced its partnership with Alan Chikin Chow, who boasts over 60 billion video views and 130 million followers on YouTube Shorts, and Netflix to co-produce a scripted series. This collaboration aims to bring a fresh narrative to the screen.

The upcoming series will follow aspiring idols who form a mixed-gender band after enrolling in an arts academy. Known for its solid storyline, the series builds on the success of 'Alan's Universe,' a drama series created by Alan Chikin Chow that explores themes of love, friendship, and values among teenagers. The series is available on a channel with nearly 100 million subscribers and garners over a billion views monthly. The cast will debut new songs through the series, marking their start as artists.

A key aspect of this project is the integration of HYBE's unique K-pop production system and expertise. By combining Alan's strong content planning with HYBE's K-pop methodology, the series aims to create another global phenomenon following the success of KATSEYE. HYBE previously debuted the global girl group KATSEYE through the audition project 'The Debut: Dream Academy,' with the production process documented in the Netflix series 'Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE.'

This collaboration marks a global project that began with a partnership between HYBE America and Alan Chikin Chow in April last year, now expanded to include Netflix.

Alan Chikin Chow expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating, "This groundbreaking project brings together the creative forces of HYBE America and Netflix to launch a new pop group. We aim to deliver storytelling filled with creative inspiration and joy to global fans."

James Shin, Head of Film and TV at HYBE America, emphasized, "This series will serve as a 'cultural model' showcasing the process of creating a pop group. Together with Alan, a pioneer in the creator ecosystem, we aim to expand our audience and innovate the way we build fandom."
