BTS's RM Teases Fans with New Album Logo Amid Speculation
On the 18th, RM posted two photos on his Instagram story without any captions.
The photos show RM visiting a restaurant, and notably, the plate in front of him features the logo of BTS's upcoming album, which has sparked much debate.
Previously, on the 16th, BTS's agency Big Hit Music announced the release of BTS's new album 'ARIRANG' along with the unveiling of the album's logo. During a live broadcast on the fan community platform Weverse, it was revealed that member Jungkook participated in the logo design. The logo features three red circles, symbolizing the Korean consonants 'ㅇ, ㄹ, ㄹ' of 'Arirang'.
However, some netizens have taken to social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) to claim that the logo is evidence of a romantic relationship between Jungkook and Winter. They argue that the three circles resemble a 'three puppies' tattoo, which has been rumored to be a couple tattoo between the two. They suggest that Jungkook subtly expressed his affection through the album design.
As these claims spread, the majority of fans have dismissed them as "absurd speculations." Fans criticized the act of linking an official creative work themed on a traditional Korean folk song to unverified personal life rumors.
Meanwhile, BTS is set to make a comeback with their fifth studio album 'ARIRANG' on March 20. During the Weverse live broadcast, RM explained, "I thought it would be nice to include something symbolic of Korea, which led to the keyword 'Arirang'." RM has deleted almost all of his previous social media posts, leaving only three.
