Korean Singer Im Jae-bum Releases Final Song 'Life is a Drama' Before Retirement
Korean singer Im Jae-bum delivers a profound message with his new song.

On November 6, Im Jae-bum will release his new track 'Life is a Drama' on various online music platforms. This song marks the last public release from his long-prepared music projects.

'Life is a Drama' draws a parallel between life and a drama, emphasizing the ongoing journey rather than a definitive end. It reflects on moments of repeated setbacks and stagnation, encouraging perseverance by recalling past experiences of overcoming challenges.

The lyrics, penned by lyricist Kim Eana, combine restrained language and the beauty of simplicity, enhancing the song's calm yet compelling persuasion through Im Jae-bum's deep vocal timbre.

Lines like "Don't you send me goodbye / Don't speak of the end," "You've overcome greater challenges before," "Life is just drama / You're writing it," and "See a new path behind the crumbling wall" revisit moments of choosing resilience over disappearance.

The song conveys a clear message of hope, asserting that paths reopen even amidst despair and repetition, reminding listeners that they are the authors of their own lives.

Im Jae-bum will meet fans through his 40th-anniversary national tour concert 'I Am Im Jae-bum' until May. The tour includes performances at Seoul's KSPO DOME on the 17th and 18th, as well as in Suwon, Ilsan, Gwangju, and other cities, with a commitment to delivering high-quality performances.

Recently, Im Jae-bum announced his retirement. On November 4, during JTBC's 'Newsroom,' he stated, "I plan to leave the stage after the 40th-anniversary concert." He added, "I felt it was right to give my all one last time and step down while I can still sing on stage. As the saying goes, it's best to leave while the applause is loudest, so I've decided to put down the microphone."
