Kim Eui-young Tops Poll as Most Desired Trot Singer to Share Warm Fish Cake with on a Snowy Winter Day
From December 11 to 17, TENASIA conducted a poll asking, 'Which female trot singer would you like to share warm fish cake with on a snowy winter day?' Kim Eui-young emerged as the top choice. Known for her background in traditional arts from Chung-Ang University, she gained fame by finishing in fifth place on TV Chosun's 'Miss Trot 2' in December 2020. Despite joining late in the competition, she reached the top ranks, becoming the highest-placed contestant among those who re-entered the show.
In second place is Kim Da-hyun, who is embarking on her first nationwide solo concert tour under her own name. The tour, themed 'Dream,' will kick off in Seoul in March next year and will extend to Busan, Daegu, and even overseas in Japan. The Seoul concert is scheduled for March 7 at 5 PM at Kyung Hee University's Peace Hall, followed by performances in Busan's KBS Hall on March 14 and Daegu's Yeungnam University Cheonma Art Center on March 28. Additional locations are currently under discussion.
Third place goes to Jeon Yu-jin. Her agency, J-Label（제이레이블）, announced on the 19th that she will release a new song titled 'Visit My Dream for Just One Day'（하루만 나의 꿈 속에 다녀가세요） on January 12. This comes approximately three months after her single ‘Childlike Slumber' was released in October. The new song expresses despair and longing in love, with Jeon Yu-jin's unique voice delivering deep empathy and resonance. Her matured emotions are expected to warm listeners' hearts this winter.
Currently, on the Top Ten TENASIA website(topten.tenasia.com), polls are being conducted on topics such as 'Which male singer would you like to watch a movie with on Christmas Eve?' and 'Which female trot singer would you like to watch a movie with on Christmas Eve?' among others.
