G-DRAGON has once again proven his influence as a global cultural icon by being named in the '2025 Hypebeast 100'.

According to his agency on the 17th, G-DRAGON has been listed in the '2025 Hypebeast 100 (HB100)', announced by the American fashion and lifestyle magazine Hypebeast. The 'HB100' is a list that selects 100 influential figures representing the year across contemporary culture, including fashion, streetwear, music, art, and design, based on cultural impact beyond genres and nationalities.

In this selection, G-DRAGON stands alongside global creative icons such as Pharrell Williams, Travis Scott, and A$AP Rocky, establishing himself as a figure representing contemporary culture beyond just a K-POP artist.

Hypebeast explained the reason for his selection, stating, "G-DRAGON has demonstrated his influence as a global cultural icon with his unique creative endeavors spanning music, art, fashion, and luxury throughout 2025." They further noted, "Through his album 'Übermensch', he conveyed philosophical messages through music and expanded his artistic influence into social and cultural realms with symbolic performances during his world tour and at the APEC summit stage." Additionally, they highlighted his fine art projects based on PEACEMINUSONE and limited collaborations with brands like Jacob & Co. and GENTLE MONSTER, breaking the boundaries between pop culture and high-end luxury.

This recognition shows that G-DRAGON is not just confined to music but has been leading the cultural flow across fashion, lifestyle, and fine art, according to his agency. It confirms his ongoing presence as an artist who sets trends rather than follows them.

Notably, G-DRAGON has been named in the 'HB100' a total of nine times since he first became the first K-POP artist to be selected in 2013, continuing an unprecedented record.
