Trot Singer Nayeong Tops Poll as Most Desired Winter Fishing Companion

Trot singer Nayeong has been voted as the number one female trot singer people want to go winter fishing with this season.

From November 27 to December 3, TENASIA conducted a poll asking, 'Which female trot singer would you like to go winter fishing with this year?' Nayeong emerged as the top choice.

Debuting in 2021, Nayeong first showcased her singing talent by winning a popularity award in the 'Korea Sings' during her middle school years. She gained further recognition by reaching the TOP 7 in TV Chosun's 'Miss Trot 3.' Despite revealing her congenital hearing impairment, Nayeong maintained her bright and spirited demeanor, securing an all-heart vote in the first round and finishing first in the fifth round, advancing to the semifinals. Her new song '99881234' earned her second place in the semifinals, marking her as a strong contender for the win, and she ultimately finished fifth in the finals.

Singer Kim Eui-young took second place. She made her official trot debut by reaching the TOP 5 in TV Chosun's 'Miss Trot 2' in 2020. On November 24, she reinterpreted Lee Mi-ja's 'A Woman's Life'(여자의 일생) on KBS1's 'Music Stage.' In May, she released her fourth single 'STARTrot PART.1,' produced by Kim Hyung-seok. The title track 'Do Whatever You Want'(하고 싶은 거 다 해) is a bright and lively dance trot song that showcases Kim Eui-young's refreshing charm.

Singer Kim Yang secured the third spot. On the November 2 broadcast of KBS2's 'Fun-Staurant,' she shared her family story, revealing, 'Things have improved a lot recently. My father passed away last year. After losing him, I realized the value of the videos I had taken of my parents. Being able to hear his voice again is something I'm incredibly grateful and happy for.'

Currently, on the Top Ten TENASIA website(topten.tenasia.com), polls are being conducted on topics such as 'Which male singer would you like to wrap a scarf around in the middle of winter?' and 'Which female trot singer would you like to wrap a scarf around in the middle of winter?' among others.
