BLACKPINK's Jennie Sets New K-Pop Records with Debut Album 'Ruby'
BLACKPINK's Jennie has rewritten K-pop history with her debut studio album 'Ruby'.

On December 3rd, Rolling Stone, the renowned American music magazine, unveiled its list of 'The 100 Best Albums of 2025'. Jennie's 'Ruby' secured the 29th spot, marking the highest rank for a K-pop artist this year.

Rolling Stone praised 'Ruby', stating, "The album leans on the ideas of 2000s and 2010s R&B pop while offering a modern interpretation. Jennie demonstrates her ability to dominate the core of sweet pop R&B."

Further solidifying her global influence, Jennie was named the 'Korean Idol of the Year 2025' by Forbes Korea.

Jennie was also the only Korean artist to participate in Spotify's '2025 Wrapped' campaign. Her album 'Ruby' was the sole K-pop solo artist entry on Spotify's 'Best Pop Albums of 2025' chart. The title track 'like JENNIE' ranked 43rd on the 'Most Streamed Songs of 2025', the highest for a female K-pop artist this year.

On Apple Music's year-end 'Top 100: Global 2025', 'like JENNIE' placed 62nd, marking the first entry for a K-pop solo artist.

Jennie's debut album 'Ruby' features 15 tracks, including the title song 'like JENNIE'. She actively participated in the album's production, embedding her musical identity. The album showcases her versatility as a solo artist and continues to set new records.
