aespa's Ningning Expresses Condolences for Hong Kong Apartment Fire Tragedy

Ningning, a member of the K-pop group aespa from Harbin, China, has expressed her condolences for the victims of the massive apartment fire in Hong Kong.

On the 27th, Ningning took to her Instagram story to say, "I hope everyone is safe. Please stay cautious, and I pay my respects to the firefighters. Let's have a moment of silence for the victims," in response to the tragic fire.

The fire broke out on the 26th at approximately 2:52 PM in the residential high-rise apartment complex 'Wang Fuk Court' located in the northern Tai Po district.

According to Hong Kong fire authorities, as of 6 AM on the 28th, the fire has claimed 94 lives.

The apartment complex affected by the fire consists of eight buildings, housing around 4,600 residents across 2,000 households. Seven of the buildings were engulfed in flames.

In light of the tragedy, the '2025 MAMA Awards' by CJ ENM, scheduled for today, will minimize special effects like fireworks. Additionally, the event will cancel the red carpet and dedicate a moment for mourning in respect of the local atmosphere of grief.
